Dear Patricia, Just place yourself in God's hands, and let yourself go into cruise control. Tomorrow, will pass quickly. When you wake up, you won't be able to believe it's over. Tomorrow is my 3-week anniversary, and I still can't believe I did it! Good Luck! Debbie

Definitely turn it all over to God ... it took me the longest time to learn that lesson. It works! I'll be coming along right behind you on Wednesday, so ... getting nervous here too. I'm listening to these kind people's experiences and believing God will take care of me. All success, Patricia ... hang in and congratulations on the new life that's opening up for you! Myra

Hello I am having surgery also on the 28th. I too am just a bit nervous but I am trying to keep myself busy! This way I don't keep my mind on the surgery and all the crazy things that can go on if you are overthinking things. I also will be at the hospital at 5:30am for surgery at 7am. Here is to us who are taking charge of our lives! Sorry not too much words of wisdom but I hope this helps. Margie

Congrats!!! Get ready for the first day of the rest of your life tomorrow!! Surgery is NOTHING. Your surgeon does all the work - you just lie there! You'll be up and walking and smiling and laughing by this time tomorrow! See you on the flip side!

I did two things the night before my surgery: I went to the before and after pictures section and just looked at the changes (don't read profiles at this point--sometimes you hit one that had complications and you don't need to hit a landmine like that). Just look at the pics. The second thing I did was to close my eyes and visualize myself one year post-op--how I'd look, how I'd feel, what people said to me, the things I could do that I couldn't do pre-op, and I'd make it as realistic as possible. Then, I'd visualize myself one year down the road if I didn't have the surgery. That lasted about 10 seconds and I practically skipped to the OR! Good luck. Put your body in the hands of the surgical staff and everything else in the hands of God and you'll be fine!

Me too. I'm mostly excited, but a little nervous. Somehow I just know that everything will be fine. Spend some time praying, that always calms me down. 5:30 will be here before we know it. Good luck, c-ya on the other side. Billie
