Advice Please! Only 6 More Days...Wooohooo!
Can anybody offer me some advice on what I should take to the hospital with me? I am so afraid I will get there and realize that I should have brought something that I didn't think of. Also, what kind of things are good to have on hand for the days following surgery at home? Any advice would mean a great deal! Thanks so much to all of you who have been through this journey and take the time to help those of us just beginning! God Bless!
In my case I didn't use anything I took with me. I took slipper socks, used the ones the hospital provided, took housecoats-the gowns were big enough nothing hung out so I didn't use them-they also provided deodorant, lotion, powder, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. Is there someone that could bring you anything you find you need? That way it will relieve your mind about forgetting something. As far as after you go home I made sure I had sugar free jello all ready made, broth, water and Crystal Light. I would suggest having the foods or drinks on hand that you will be using when you get home so that they are readily available. Good luck and enjoy the ride of your life!!! Joan
I brought some chapstick, and I totally needed it!! I also wore my own PJ bottoms under the hospital gown from the first time I went to the restroom on. I brought my own tioletries(sp?) because I am picky about that stuff. I like my own smell!! That is all I needed during my stay, but I went in on tuesday and came home wednesday night. Good Luck!!!
