HELP!!! 10 days post op

Hi I am 10 days post op and feeling good sometimes, bad others. Anybody got suggestions for all the gas that I am feeling. I burp all the time. Any blended soup recipe suggestions, any suggestion for getting the protein in. Hellp!!!

for protein, you should get some kind of unflavored powder like unjury or any whey, you can mix it with anything even water and you can't taste it. I don't know too many good soup options, sorry. But the gas could be relieved with gas-x or something similar. I hope this helps!!!! Hillary

I am mixing a high protein low carb drink with decaf tea sweetened with Splenda to make a great fruit tea. It is really helping me get the protein down. I think I had surgery about the same day you did. I've now started on pureed food and had my first baby food dinner tonight. It wasn't bad...

I found that Diet Ginger Ale helps with my gas. Of course, it has to be FLAT!!! No carbonation in it. As far as getting the protein in I don't know what to suggest. I have to drink Carnation Instant Breakfast 3 times a day right now according to my doctor's Stage 3 of the diet for post ops. On Tuesday I will move on to Stage 4-pureed foods. Whoopie!!
