Tomorrow's my day!
I'm feeling a lot of differant emotions right now.
I am fasting today and it all seems very real. I don't think it will be all the way real until I'm laying on the OR table.
I have to be at the hospital at 6:30am tomorrow morning.
Today I have to drink the yucky stuff and take 8 pills.
Well thats all for now.
See ya when I get back!
Stephanie
Stephanie..
Congrats!!!! I am 8 days post op and I sit here thinking I can't believe I did it.
Yeah for you..here comes your new life.
I had lap RNY in Ohio....
I will tell you that I did have second thoughts as they wheeled me to the OR since I had never had surgery before...but it is normal..everything you feel is normal....it's scary!
You will do great. JUST DO EXACTLY AS THEY TELL YOU ok?
I will pray for you tonight but I know things will be fine.
Smile, introduce yourself to everyone and let them do their job.
It was so cool because I bet I was in the OR 2 minutes and I was under.
The guy said take a couple deep breaths and I did and the next thing I remember is waking up in my room about 6 hours later. My surgery took 4 hours and they kept me in recovery for 2 more waiting for my bed to open.
Hi Steph!
The butterflies got me as I met the anesthieologist, they gave me something to keep calm. Before I knew it I was waking up and in my room. I have to say for me...If I had known it was going to be such a breeze, I would have saved myself some fret. But I think its a natural and important thing to go through. I look forward to hearing you progress after your surgery. I know you will be just fine. Im 2 weeks post op. Learning a lot of new things about how my new stomach functions and doing just fine. I had Lap RNY, today I have to say...Im glad I've done it. Im getting around as I did b4 surgery, my eating habits have changed.. Email me w/any questions I may be able to help ya with. And I mean ANY questions. This is a huge change to your bodies...a lot of new things you never thought about!...But its all good! I'll keep you in my thoughts! God Bless and see ya soon!
