Sorry.....poop question
I felt very bloated after mine and couldn't seem to relieve any pressure. After about 5 days I had my first one, then was going about 4 times a day for 4 or 5 days. Then things stabilized, and I went about 5 days without one again, but I could relieve the gas. Not exactly regular! I didn't expect to go very often with no intake but liquids. My doctor said that the blood from surgery irritates your intestines causing gas and loose stools, but after a week or so it goes away. Hope this helps!

Don't apologize. You know in hospital when nurses and doctors are talking about passing gas and BM's like they are talking about the weather that it's common conversation topics for us patients! LOL
Surgeon said mine would be very loose for a while and boy he was right. I had mine 3rd day after surgery.
If you haven't had one in a week, he might rx you dulcolax I think it's called or he may have you give yourself a Fleet Enema. Lovely, isn't it? But it's not good for you for "that stuff" to be in you so long, so you got to do what you got to do sometimes.
I had my surgery on 3-14 also and Had my first BM 6 days later and it scared me cause it was mostly liquid blood. I thought I was bleeding inside so I called the Dr on call and he said that was normal. I replyed he could have menthioned that might happen. He also did not mentioned to be that when some of my staples were remove that I would have leaking from the insision area. They need to let us know more about what could happen. Thanks for listening.
