how long does united healthcare take

how long does united healthcare take to come back on a yes or no if they will cover it... if anyone has had the surgury and knows the answer please let me know thanks

I had United Healthcare and got my yes in a little over a week. Didn't take long at all and I have heard that they are one of the best insurances to have for this procedure. Good Luck! Chris S.

After my Primary insurance said "no way!!!!" it only took about 10 days for united Healthcare to say OK. Yeah!!!!!!! I have not had the surgery yet but I am 11 days away from my date with DR. Lauter IN Kirkland , WA 10:15 am at Evergreen Hospital with a private room.

Kelly, I have United Healthcare and it took about a week for approval. They are pretty good about covering this procedure as long as your plan does not have any exclusions. I know that Chris S. and I both had the same doctor, That would be Doctor Alexander. I am 5 days post op and doing great! He is the best in my eyes. Good luck with your journey. Sharon

I had an answer in 3 business days. I called and asked for the care coordination department and they told me the answer right then. took a week for me to get the letter after that. I just had to have the approval number (got it from the phone call) to get my surgery scheduled. Good luck!

I got approved in 5 days, but it took 2 more weeks to get the letter they've been great for the most part...good luck! Sheila
