13 days to go :-D
I am very glad to finally have my date of my surgery which is the 30th of this month. I have been trying for almost 2 years to be accepted by Dr. Grandia. He was very thorough concering getting everything in to be accepted by Medicare. If you have any messages of encouragement I would appreciate them.
Hello Melissa;
I know what you mean about supportive husbands. When I had my left knee replaced in Sept. of 2003 my husband was right there beside me all the way. I kept telling him that I always bounce back from all my surgeries and he kept saying you have to remember you are getting old. It made me so mad I thought hey I will show him. I was done and out of therapy in 4 weeks time. Two weeks shy of the normal time. He said he did that to motivate me. I have put my cane down and have not picked it up since then. My kids are very supportive of me too. They know how I have struggled with my weight. My oldest daughter, (who is also going to make me a grandma this year) gave me a birthday card on my 50th and said that after I loose the weight she wants to take me on a cruise! So there is an encentive plus wanting to stay around to see my first grandchild grow up. Just let me know when you go in and I will keep you in my prayers.
Melinda
