Breathing Problems??
I am not 7 days post op and beginning yesterday from time to time I keep feeling like I cant breathe or its difficult to breathe. I have to stop whatever I am doing and concentrate on breathing in order for me to get over that feeling. Anyone else have this problem. I'm waiting on my dr to call me back
I had breathing problems in the hospital and they just really made me aware how important practicing deep breathing and coughing are. Breathing deeply can be painful but if you don't get through it you are risking alot. I hope you find the answers that you are looking for.

Hello-I had so much trouble breathing while in the hospital I felt like they were killing me with the machines forcing me to breath, but I made it through and am 10days post-op now. I had a great pulmonologist that I had to work with prior to surgery and he was there for me constantly while in the hospital to make sure I was breathing right so I would not end up with Pneumonia. I wonder if you had to work with a pulmonologist prior to your surgery so that you could contact the drs office with your problems. I have sleep apnea so I have a breathing machine at home so I guess I have not had any problems since my machine gives my lungs a workout every night. Its a hard thing to deal with, so I feel for you but just use the best resources you have from your drs and you will be fine.
