Najah, So sorry to hear about the hard time you are having. You must be a really nice person, I would have kicked my sister out on her a** bringing that stuff into my house I bet that you will feel better about your decision once you start really seeing results. Hang in there and feel better soon Love, Kelly Z

Sugar free jello is my best friend right now. I can't seem to handle savory flavors (broth, cream of chicken soup) but cold and sweet is fine. You absolutely need to check into the sweating. I don't think that is normal and you have to talk to your surgeon. Hang in there. Take it one day at a time. Remember you didn't get to your surgery in one day and it'll take awhile to move away from that day. Soon, you will be able to eat more normally and when the weight starts coming off, I think you'll be glad.

I start my 10 day liquid diet before my surgery, next weekend. I have worried about this also but want the surgery enough that I will do anything to get it. Your body is reacting to bare minimum carbs and from lack of glucose. But you should add some protein shakes to your diet. You need the protein. Get some sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, sugar free drinks like Crystal Light, and trade off some of those. But get some protein powder and make a couple shakes a day. Just use water or skim milk in them. My nutritionalist told me to have a minimum of 30 grams of protein but GNC has one called Isopure that is 50 grams of protein. Good luck sweetie! I know it's hard but it will be worth it in the long run.

Is it clear liquid or just liquid. If you like flavored caffene-free herbal teas, you can drink that. Also Wal-Mart has clear flavored waters that are delicious called AquaCal that come in flavors strawberry, lemon zest, and peach mango. They come in 4's for $1.88. I have been having problems with severe gas that was so bad, it was affecting my intake. I had started the puree diet but the doctor told me to stop for a little while due to the fact that my pouch may still be swollen and go back to liquids and cream soups if I can tolerate it. Please hang in there!!! I felt just like you after surgery saying, "What the heck did I just do?" "Did I really have to do all of this?" Even though my family is eating healthier, it still doesn't change the fact that I want to eat some of what they are eating but I'm trying to be patient and depending on God to take me through this!!! It's a process and when it's all over and you've reached your goal and people are admiring you then you can be proud and tell them that you paid the price and you deserve to be where you are and none of them can take that away from you!!!
