Pre-Op weight Loss????

Hi guys, I went in for my consult and the Doc told me to lose 10% or ~30lbs before Pre-OP. He gave me a month to see him next. Im about 318lbs and 6-00, ~43BMI. Others in my nutriotion class had all gotten dates, some even larger than I and also a fellow who is pretty much the same size as me....they all got dates...Question is..how strict are the docs about losing the pre-op weight. I am giving it a shot, down 5lbs so far..but do you think I will get a date next time I go in on March 23 even if I show signs of losing the weight 10-15lbs....30lbs seems a lot for a month....
