date is 3/22
did all of my preop stuff on wed. it took so long. I had a total of 3 pokes for getting my blood work, man 7 vials of blood ulgh!! then they poked me twice to get the ABG's I have such crappy veins wouldn't you know my arteries would be just as disagreeable. I will be at Orange Coast Memorial in CA. wondering if anyone else is using that hospital and perhaps the same date?? The days are going by so fast. A little anxious waiting for the date to arrive. I want to wish all the Marchers good luck and a speedy recovery also sending hugs and prayers as well.

Good luck Teri -
I just found out today that my surgery is set for March 31st. My veins are awful too - they end up putting the needle in, moving it around a bunch, and then starting all over again. No fun at all. I was told to drink lots of water, and that will help plump them up a bit. I'm a little farther north than you (Seattle, WA). It doesn't seem to real to me yet that I am having surgery this month . . .part of me wants it tomorrow, and the rest of me isn't too sure.
Best wishes while you wait.

I love Seattle. I have family up there. the flipping of emotions is normal. You have to go with your gut instinct. for me I found out that all the reflux I have been having has damaged my esophagus. So I made the final decision that the gastric bypass was what I needed. I have so many other health issues. the bypass will allow the weight loss needed to help regain my health. wishing you well.

Teri Lynn,
Congrats, my date is March 22nd as well. I am from Eastman, Ga, and I am having my surgery in Atlanta. Maybe we can write each other and compare notes. I havent done my preop for surgery, just preop for being approved. I am hoping I dont have to go through the ABGs and all just for regular pre-op. Already went through the rigorous testing so insurance would approved.
