Yes, this was an extremely long journey, the truly unexcepted kept showing its head but faith prevailed. I can't believe the date is so near and yet so far. I must be truthful...I'm scared to death of the known and unknown because everyone's experience is different. BUT, I can hardly wait. Please. I WELCOME EVERYONES REPLY-ITS SO ENCOURAGING, THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING-GOD BLESS YOU ALL! GOOD LUCK

I am having my surgery March 11th. I am also a bit afraid of the unknown. I put my faith in God. Soon we will be on our way to good health. I am also cleaning out my "fat clothes" for summer. It is exciting. I am so glad we allcan share. God bless.

Hey Robin, Congrats! on your date, You're even closer than I am. Many prayers I have for you. Thanks for responding, its so comforting to have you out there supporting me and having me in your prayers and even just in your thoughts. I find that only other people going thru this process can truly understand. When I read some of the journals, those stories are my story. I too am preparing my home for the "other side", however I haven't gotten rid of any clothes yet. But I do have so much clothing in different sizes, I bet you can relate. Thanks Robin, Until later...God bless.

Veronica, You're going to be fine. Remember that this may be your first experience with WLS, but it sure isn't the first for your surgeon and his team. God gave them all the skills to put you on the road to health! I am due in on March 7. It's my fourth surgical date in two months (nagging cough has postponed it three times) and I have had those fears too. What took away my fears is to go to the "before & after" pics in here and marvel at the successes and know that, next year, I'll be putting up mine. The other thing I do is to close my eyes and imagine myself a year from now after successful surgery. How I look, how I feel, what I can do that I can't do now. Then, I imagine myself a year from now if I didn't have the surgery. It takes about 5 seconds to blow that image out of my mind and I am fired up to have this done! Hope it helps. Be strong and put your faith in God's hands and your surgeon's. Good luck! Greg
