March 11th Is My surgery ...

March 11th Is My surgery and I am nervous. I was just looking at the negative postings. Just to continue to be aware that this is going to be tough, hard work. I am thinking that I will have some issues with cravings, fatigue and may not bounce back as fast as others due to a chronic illness. My Neurologist and PCP are very involved in my care and are great supports. They are the ones who intially advised it. I have researched and am pleased with the surgeon. My sister had this done successfully so I am sure she will be a great support.Well Here I go...

That is wonderful that you have someone so close to you to turn for support. For me, it is my neighbor across the street. I am March 9 and already she is calling me every few days to see if I am OK, nervous etc. A month ago she gave me her "old" winter coat. (She is two years post op -120#) I needed a new one and didn't want to buy a new one. Well it is a gorgeous Eddie Bauer parka that she wore just a few times. I will ALMOST hate to give it up next year when it is too big!
