March 10, 2005 - making the switch from the band to the DS!

I'm always looking for more folks to talk with. I'm a bit nervous, but on the whole I'm pretty excited. My focus is shot - I need to really concentrate since I still have to finish out this quarter of grad school! I have quite the adventure to even get to my surgery - I'm traveling to Spain and having the DS done by Dr. Baltasar. I will return home on the 25th of March. I'm starting out with a pretty high bmi, but I truly believe that the DS surgery will be what I need. Whether DS or RNY or whatever, I hope to bond with some of my March surgery kin! I am praying that it all goes smoothly for all of us! Take care, Jill
