I've got a date!!!! March 10th (2 days after my birthday!!)!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited!!! I've been considering this surgery for sooooo long....I don't know why I waited!!! I must have been !!!! Well....now I only have 40 days!!! These will definitely be the longest 40 days of my LIFE! But, I'm going to be spending most of those doing my "good by to food" parade....I'm making a list of everything I MUST HAVE before hand....Olive Garden salad, Philly cheesesteak, WINGS, Cheesecake Factory, chimichanga, and !!! But, it will ALLL be worth it!! Any one with suggestions or thoughts I'm open!

That is sooo great! My date is March 1st and I know exactly how you feel! And I love your list of foods to eat before the surgery! Great idea to taste a little of everything now because we won't be having them again for a very long time (and hopefully only small portions or "tastes")!! WTG

CONGRATULATIONS! I also have the surgery date on March 10th!!! But, my birthday is in 2 days from now! I'm getting a BPD-DS surgery (see www.duodenalswitch.com) what about you? I am really really looking forward to it. I started taking vitamins last week to try and get into the habit of it, and starting this Monday, I'm drinking 64oz of water a day so THAT can be a habit too (water is a tough one for me!) Congratulations on your date for surgery. My WLS will be 3/22/05. Enjoy all those must have foods, but rememeber everything we gain before WLS we will have to lose. I am planning all my special foods in moderation to celebrate getting WLS! Keep me posted it will be worth it! Jan D.
