Suggestions for getting back on track
Hi, I had RNY in March 2005 - I lost about 130 pounds. This past six months or so I've really had a tough time. I stepped on the scale - I was slowly gaining. I was down to 180, I'm now up to 230. I really need help - I'm finding myself getting back into those old habits. Any advise is appreciated. I just can't gain anymore weight.
Hi Gerakline - I did the 5 day pouch test over 2 weeks ago, and it has totally gotten me back on track!! I've lost a total of 6 lbs so far, most I'm sure is water as I drink over 64 oz a day now, however I do not graze anymore and I'm back on my protien shakes. I can only eat a cup of food or less now at each meal, and I feel great. I suggest you try it and see what happens.
Hi friends. I am an active member on the March 2004 board, having had gastric bypass surgery in March 2004 and having lost 216 lbs. I am maintaining most of that weight loss but it is a daily struggle. Many of us "Marchers" have recently done the 5-day pouch test with some good success and I invite you to visit our Board! We are all facing similar struggles and perhaps "getting together" to build support might be just what we all need right now - strength in numbers and all that - at any rate, I thought I would extend the invitation. Be well in your journey - Maureen
Hi all,
It's been a while since I was here. I too am struggling with almost a 20lb weight gain since last March. Alot has to do with physical health issues. I had to stop exercising due to sciatica problems and possibly having MS. I was on steroid iv treatment and gained 10 of the 20lbs since October's hospitalization. I am on day 3 of the pouch test and is helping me tremendously. My stomach feels like it did right after surgery. I have to get a handle on this and feel the pouch test is helping. I will start my walking again as soon as the weather gets a bit warmer.
I 'll be back soon!
