3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

It was 3 years ago on march 3rd that I had my surgery. My highest weight was 417lbs. I sure hate typing that in but since my surgery I have lost 209 lbs and still would like to lose another 30 lbs. I have still yet to get below 200. Oh I did once down to 198 but that didn't even last a week. I go back and forth between 205 and 210. I try not to get discouraged too. I do try and get involved in any weight loss challenge we have at work. We just all need to try and get back on track. Every time I gain a few of them pounds I take note on what I am eating. I too have a sweet tooth (chocolate) especially. We all need to remember we may slip a bit, and are all emotional eaters. We need to take all that energy we have in overindulging and beating ourselves up so much and use that to get motivated again. REMEMBER beating ourselves up and feeling like loosers is what got us where we were before surgery. This is something we all have to work at for the rest of our lives. We are all winners and this is what we need to remind ourselves. Get out and exercise walk or whatever you can do and remember love yourself and know we are all worth this challenge. I do have a web site I signed up for and it is called LivingAfterWLS. It is a great web site and you get newsletters and great recipes. You can also get the 5 day pouch test there. Good luck to all of us and try to remember we are worthy. Love to all

Patty, thanks for the pep talk. We all need it. You have done wonderfully. Congradulations on a job well done. Hang in there and keep on working the program. You should be proud of yourself. Patricia RNY 3/11/2005 262/125/138 hi/lo/today
