Surgery, tummy tuck bonus - please read and be aware (ladies only)

Hello all, I have great news...getting my tummy tuck/ skin removal done and I have bad news...the only reason I am getting it done is because I have to have 3 other procedures done and it is an open surgery so since they already have me open I get the tuck done.
Some of you may remember that I had to have a vaginal prolapse repair done 8 months after my by-pass. Well they fixed that great and everything was fine then back in Feb this year I noticed another bulge and had that heavy feeling in my lower ab and intercourse started to be very uncomfortable. I ignore it until a month or so ago when it started to really hurt. I now have a uteran prolapse and vaginal vault prolapse.
I went to my surgeon and I will have to have a hysterectomy (leaving ovaries), vaginal vault suspension and a TVT sling placement. Doesn't it all sound so fun!!! If you have any questions please feel free to ask me. Especially if you think you may have something like this going on the longer you wait the more extensive the repair work is and since it doesn't really HURT HURT we are prone to ignore it. Resulting in instead of 1 repair procedure --- 3 of them
I am suprised that we don't hear more about this on here as the surgeon says it is commen with extreme weightloss and multi-births. Or maybe I am just to out spoken and open with what goes on as a result from my by-pass surgery. I would like to make all ladies aware of it because it is a freaky kind of thing to have happen. All in all it is a minor complication but the surgery to fix it is not so easy and I will be down for 2 to 8 weeks.
My plastic surgeon Dr. Tim McGee will come in and open my up then Dr. Kim Coates will go in and do the pelvic repairs and then Dr. McGee will come back in do the tuck and sking removal and close me up. I am going to be in Round Rock Medical Center... I was there before with my abdominal adhesions and it is a really good hospital. I am hoping to just be in a day or 2 then go home but they haven't said anything about it yet.
Take care everyone!!!
love

Interesting side effect! I've also heard that there is an increase in appendicitis and gall bladder problems after a big quick weight loss.
I had a ruptured gangrene appendix about 9 months after my surgery. Then last spring a friend at work had lost about 30 lbs. and had an appendix attack that resulted in surgery. While she was in the hospital, her nurse told her it often happens when you lose a lot of weight! Oh, well!!!! I'd do it again!
I hope you get along well with your female/plastic surgery!
