Coming Up on 2 Years - How Are We Doing?
I've not been to this forum for a looong time.
I feel very good about coming up on 24 months. Right now I 'm 23 months and 1 week and still losing.
I started at 440, and now weigh 190. I've lost 122 inches so far.
I'm expecting to lose another 25 pounds or so, and believe the rest will come off after plastics. I'm going to have a Upper Body Lift with Dr. Egrari 7-11-07. He said I'd be ready now for the upper body lift, but that 20-30 more pounds lost would be great for my LBL since all I have left is carried in the lower body, go figure. I've only lost 5 inches from my calves, while in my hips I've lost 33! My bust is similiar - gone from 54DDD to a 36DD.
The DS has made a huge difference in my life and I'm extremely thankful. I eat like a thin person now - but I do eat just about whatever I want. I try and get a couple of protein drinks in a day or a drink and a bar, just as insurance.
I've done pretty well on keeping my journal updated, and do have pictures at picturetrail. I hope the rest of you are doing great!

I'm loving my new thinner body! I now weigh 144-148 at 5ft5in. I wear a size 8 or 10. I just had a full TT in January. I could use some more plastics but finanial restraints will keep that from happening any time soon. My biggest fear is waking up fat again. I think about gaining my weight back hundreds of times per day. Does anyone else do this?
I'd love to lose another 10 or so pounds but I've been pretty stable at this weight for several months now. I dont know how to post pictures here at OH but you can see my journey here... be sure to watch the video!!

I do think about waking up fat again! Weird! Not all the time, but still. I think that's one of the reasons I will have my PS (which scares me to death) - to make yet another deep commitment to sticking with this and keeping the weight off. I think about it like getting rid of my size 5x clothes Congrats on your success! Kathy
2 years at the end of March! Wow. I still startle myself if I catch my reflection, people I haven't seen go on and on about how skinny I am. I have been a size two or four about a year now. I got a hernia in August at my surgical site. Dr. K fixed the hernia and my bypass incision is even cleaner. I have some loose skin around my waist, my boobs look like knee high socks with pebbles in the bottom and my butt is somewhere near the back of knees but I will be 40 soon. Mini skirts and bikinis are a thing of the past for me anyway. Other than that, my energy is fantastic and my health is vastly improved!!!

Hi Janis - I hear you about the old habits! I had stuck to the occasional nibble of dark chocolate for my "sweet" choice for a long time, but at the holidays, ventured a bit too far into the crappy carbs in all the holiday goodies. I indulged too often, and felt like I was revisiting my old sugar habit! I am doing much better now but I'm finding it's more of a struggle at 2 yrs out.
So glad to see how well you're doing. Keep it up!
I am doing well. I started at 315 and maintained at 165 until the last 3 weeks it has crawled up to 171 so I am starting the liquid diet tomorrow and getting back to basics. I have been having a lot of trouble keeping my blood sugar high enoug but will address that with my pcp when I go for my 2 year checkup. I am going to the UT medical school of plastic surgery for my plastics. In June they do the evaluation photos and preop testing then will have the surgery in Oct - Nov when I can take vacation. I am having my arms, boobs, stomach, butt, thighs, pubic area and back and possible breast implants...haven't decided on that one yeat. The great thing is instead of 60-80 thousand it is going to run about 10-14 thousand.
I am feeling awesome - extremely happy and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
Take care!!!
love to all,
Jeannie
