Maureen, I'm so sorry about the diabetes!  Mine came back about 3 years ago. I know why!  The food I'm eating is killing me. My high blood pressure is also back. When I had the surgery I was taking 14 pills a day, wearing  a patch for blood pressure and taking 3 to 5 shots a day for my sugar.  I came off all the medicine except for a throid pill.  Now, I back up to 7 pills a day. I've gained about 60 pounds back. I feel so hopeless sometimes. My feet and legs hurt so bad! I came home from work today and took tylenol and put ice on my feet and after about 15 minutes I put heat on them. I finally went to sleep.  I know EVERYTHING  wrong with me is because of the food I've been eating!  The three weeks before Thanksgivng I gained five pounds. I was stopping at Burger King when I got off from work and getting a double cheese burger and I was eating sausage and biscuit every morning for breakfast!  Monday morning when I got up and weighed I said today has go to be a new beginning. So, I boiled a dozen eggs and carried my canadian bacon with me to work. All week I've eaten that for breakfast and lunch and at night I'd eat protien and a few veggies.  I weighed Wed. morning and I'd lost five pounds. I have not weighted since. I know if I weigh and I haven't lost any more I'll get discouraged, so I'm not going to weight till Christmas. Pray for me and I'll pray for you!!  Love ya

Its taken nearly 6 years and now my hair is back to being straight.
After the surgery I lost alot of hair. I did that after my Csections too. but this time when it grew back it grew back curly! i loved it! I didn' thave to fuss with it at all. Wash and go.
but now it has gotten back to my normal straight. Now if it was long and striaght I'd be thrilled but No. its just straggly if I let it grow long now. I use to have long beautiful hair just like my daughters. When I started having kids I cut it short. Now its been so long that I get impaitent when I try to grow it.
Oh well. Maybe a wig!

Hi Friends, went to my PCP last night and he told me my diabetes has returned. Doesn't take much of an I.Q. to figure out that eating fistfuls of chocolate nearly every day for the last year would cause this... the only reason I haven't gained more weight is because otherwise I eat very healthily. Let this be a warning to you - don't eat the crap! I am getting a grip on this right now. I have not worked this hard for this long to find myself living in the sewer of crap eating and bad health.  No more. Candy is poison.  No more. I truly hope all is well in your worlds. Maureen

Me too, Judy. I feel like my family has moved away and I can't find them... I suppose it's the nature of the beast, it has been nearly 6 years after all. I will continue to check in and you (or anyone else) can always, always get in touch with me! I would love that. In the meantime, I continue to need support and will find it however I may. WOW! You are totally different! I'm so proud of you, for keeping all the weight off!! Our board is just about gone.  I look on here ofter and I miss and  wonder what is going on with everybody.
