Works for me! Really, this makes good sense. So if I apply your theory to my cir****tances, I maintained between 145-150 for about 4 years - so I'll split the difference and say 148. I'm at 164 this a.m., so that means I've gained 16 lbs. I can live with that - and still work like the Dickens to get back to 150, which is where I'd like to be. More than that, though, I want to feel fit and strong again - have really let go of my workout, so that's going to be my focus. Thanks for your good thoughts about my daughter (and Joanie's), Pam - that means a lot! Love to all - Maureen

Topic: gym
i have been going to the gym 3 to 5 nights a week for about 4 weeks now since i finally got my income tax and paid in full for a years membership.
i am frugal. cheap. tight.
i am the person who goes into dunkin donuts to use their bathroom and grab a handfull of napkins & sweetners for home.
i am the person who goes to a mickeyD's and takes the little ketchup packets home.
I fill my waterbottle at work 3 times a day to save bottled water costs.
you get the picture right?
so for me to pay for a year ahead was a money savings of course but it also makes me go more than i'd normally go because i want to get my money's worth.
hense the groin injury.
then i bought some weights at ocean state job lot.
prevention magazine this month has some really good excersizes to do with weights. they gave clear pictures and explantions on how to do them.
its a 20 minute work out that you do like 3 times a week and it works well with doing cardio at the gym them i come home and do the weights.
i'm hopinhg it works like they said it will and jumpstart my metobalizum of which i do not have any. at all. zip nadda.
i'm hoping it gives me michelle Obama arms.
I'm hoping i survive this excersize nightmare.
when i'm working them on the floor my little dog trys to sit on my tummy. i had the carpeting taken out before christmas and new wood floors put in. my little dog misses the carpet and thinks mommys soft fluffy tummy feels just as good and warmer than the old carpeting.
she's cute. i love her. except when she trys to lick my face when i'm breathing heavy and working out.

O its so good to see you Joanie!
i'm with you and everyone else who is sick of snow. if i was really brave i'd look into moving someplace nice and warm.
congrats to both you and Reenie with the girls and school.
and your weight! wow that is awesome!
you know for a long time i looked at the smallest weight that i'd been after surgery which was 157. but i was only that size for a brief time not even a full week. so i say O i've gained 25 pounds since my lowest weight and yes that statement is true.
but the weight that i maintained for the most amount of time was 167 that was for like 4 and a half years.
now pleae you guys tell me if this makes sense but shouldn't i be using that long term maintained weight as the one? that means i've gained like 15 pounds which isnt as disturbing to me.
O yea i'd love to be in the 150's but realistically i think the 167 is good for my body build and height.
so from now on i officially am saying that i've gained 15 pounds.
you know that took a weight off my shoulders.

I"m feeling much better.
come to find out i also have a injury to ligaments in the groin area. i'm saying its due to my excersizing that eliptical is a killer!
so while its still ok to excersize i am not to go crazy with it. arggggg
they are doing changes at work to our office area. lots of moving of equipemnt and desks all over the place. the stuff hasn't been moved for a while VERY dusty.
i of course am allergic to dust! i'm allergic to just about everything.
anywho while my eyes right now are so red it looks like i've been on a drunk bender my head is filled with crap that refuses to come up and i forgot to take my allergy pill arggggg
now tonight i'm feeling down when ther eis no reason to feel down.
o sure i just paid off the last oil tank fill this week and just after the check cleared today they deliver another $450 worth.
Gee****s just me I swear to god the animals are taking hot showers all day when i'm at work. i thnk they turn the heat up when i leave then down just before i get home. how can i use tha tmuch oil in such a short amount of time?
i think i'll call tomorrow and have them clean the furnacne its due.

I don't know if this will go through or not. I tried to reply already and it kicked it out. Anyway, you don't complain! And even if yu did we all get to everynow and then. It's shared misery as well as shared happiness that makes friends. Oh brother! I thought I was the only lightweight. Here I am a good old-fashioned Irish girl who gets plastered assed drunk sipping on a single Captain Morgan and diet Coke. My family just laughs at me. Hubby calls me a chep date. And oh yeah! You and all the other guys here are totally awesome.

JOANIE!!   So good to see your post. You are the Poster Child for WLS maintenance, and I'm so happy you've found your groove! Our daughter is also in her last semester and like you, I don't know where the time has gone. She comes home (from Canada) for a visit next weekend. Can't wait! Ah, you will hear me screaming from the rooftops when I see my first crocus! Love toyou, Maureen
