Topic: the craziness which is my life....
I know it's been a while.  Things are rather hectic, to say the least.  Getting ready for the  Christmas/Chanukah holidays and all the logistics of the travel arrangements of my kids is somewhat daunting.  Son is in Atlanta, his girlfriend is in Florida, daughter's boyfriend is in Las Vegas---I don't know if I'm going to spend more time at the airport or in the kitchen.  Son's girlfriend is allergic to cats so they have to get a hotel.  Driving to Philly to pick up  my mother.  Not to mention the shopping that needs to be done.  And lets not forget work.  Maybe if they added a few more hours to the day I could get everything done.....that is if I wasn't so exhausted.  Thank goodness for my man...he is with me every step of the way helping out.  He's just the best.

I'm still alive and breathing.....somedays I'm hungry and some days I'm not.  Don't know what the rhyme or reason is with that.  Weight is stable.  I still want to lose about 10 pounds.  I am still hitting the gym 3 times a week...there is no option with that no matter how busy I get.

Hope everyone is well and enjoys their Thanksgiving!

Well Elizabeth, here it is Monday a.m. and I didn't do too well. Gained a pound over all and I feel lousy. Had a very bad day of it yesterday (Sunday). Sorry I let you down. I'm just in a very bad place these days. Sorry. M.

Weekend is halfway over, but better late than never.  Yesterday we went to get a cord of wood and got that stacked.  Lots of errand running and then I finally got the tile for the last counter cut and dry laid.  I'm going to get it installed today before I head off to work this afternoon.  I had hoped to slap paint on the walls, but ran out of time.  I also started up the furnace to get it ready for next week.  It's supposed to get cold.  Don't laugh at me, cold means in the 60's.

OK, hope to get back here and post more later.

Big hugs,
Connie

Margo, it's good to hear you sounding a bit more cheerful! It's what I admire most about you, no matter the adversity, you find the stuff to keep going. I'm just trying to take care of myself this weekend, take care of my eating, which has gotten out of control. I'm doing a program with Elizabeth today and tomorrow and it's going fairly well. I just don't want to feel like I'm a heartbeat away from a nervous breakdown anymore, which is how I've been feeling, especially at work. The candy/sugar has a great deal to do with it. I'm having very bad low blood sugar episodes to where I can't think my way out of my office, let alone have a cogent conversation with anyone. My job is in jeopardy, I'm pretty certain of it - haven't been very productive for quite some time. You all know how long I've been posting about this candy issue now - well, if you're on the verge of blacking out from low blood sugar, and you can't think, and this is ongoing on a daily basis - needless to say, you can't function very well in a work environment that way. So, this weekend, I'm trying to just find peace, clear my head, settle down with the food, relax, calm myself, calm my eating. I've had a prett good day. It's really good to hear you sounding better.  Hugs to Michael. Your Reenie

Ok sweetheart, just checking in. I didn't stick totally to the plan but didn't do too badly. Had a 2 egg omelette with slice of cheese for breakfast, a great green salad with feta cheese crumbles and black beans for lunch (that was fabulous!), and a protein bar, and then YOUR SOUP for dinner - wow, that was good! Perfect when the weather outside is 20 degrees! But I added some stew beef to it, ah it was so good and tasty and hot! So I'm good for the night now, wrapped in my toasty p.j.s and flannel robe, about to get my feet rubbed by Jim - had a good day at the barn with Laela, even in this weather - oh, she's so beautiful and so special to to me... I feel better today. The scale says I'm down 2 lbs. from yesterday... how are you doing honey-bunch??? M.

I could SOOOO use this but didn't look at the board until 3:30 on Saturday :( .   Maybe the next time, or another weekend on my own.

Good luck with it!

Hugs, Mo

Hey Margo!

It's Saturday afteroon and other than doing my shopping at Sam's club I've not accomplished a whole lot today, but then the Sam's thing in itself might be a major accomplishment.   Mr Mo is working the 'late shift' today.  He is generally off on Saturdays, but once in a 6 week period he has to cover the Saturday night shift, so off he went about 2:45-ish.

I was up fairly early, but plopped in front of the PC upstairs with the space heater, and didn't even venture downstairs to make coffee.   When he got up, he offered to make a fire, while I fixed breakfast so that got me downstairs.   I went out to do the Sam's thing, and made sure I got home in time for him to bring my stuff in the house for me.   I've got all the meats broken down and repackaged and the other stuff put away.   Mr Mo even stacked some wood just inside the garage for me so I don't have to go all the way outside to feed the fire.

I am envious of the $1.59 gas.   I thought $1.72 at Sam's was a deal today!   I filled the truck (with a 34 gallon tank) for $42.25 .. it was just under a quarter, but I was happy to get away for under $50.   When the prices were up there, it was over $100 to fill the truck if it was empty.  Many times the pump cut off before I was full !!!!

I think I posted in another thread, we are headed to NC for Turkey Day to spend the day with friends.   NC is sort of our 'second' home.   We spend 3 weeks a year in the Charlotte area doing the NASCAR thing and are very comfortable there.   I was born in NC and we plan to buy in NC when we retire and are ready to relocate.

The fire is looking like it's time for another log .. so I'll do that .. and then settle down to read my book here.

Happy Saturday.

Hugs, Mo

As for my weekend Im taking my MIL ,husband and daughter out to a midevel dinner theater this eveing...should be a nice time. We went to one in Florida a few years back and had a great time and recently one was opened up around this way so we are going to go check it out.
Tomorrow..Im going to get  an area ready for my two goldens...my female is getting ready to go into heat and Im going to breed her this time so I must keep a seperation area ready for her so my other males dont get her...argggg its a pain but when done its so worth it. I enjoy raising the pups.
 Also on Sunday...house cleaning boooooo

Topic: good morning saturday!
ok so we have talked about the upcoming holiday and food- what are y'all doing today??? this weekend???

saturday mornings i donate plasma- it's a 38 mile drive one way- i am a bit concerned about my iron level again- it was just 1 notch above acceptable on thursday - sooo- keeping fingers crossed! hate to make that drive if i can't give!  (next week i have the week off from that due to thanksgiving-gives my bod a minute to recoup! but cuts out income!)

on our way to plasma we have to stop and pick up a freecycle item--then afterwards, we'll get gas (very cheap in that particular town- was $1.59 the other day!!)  and we'll drive to my sons- he is giving us some patio pavers that we will use for our front yard- very pretty ones look like stones set in....michael will dig them up- i hope! the ground is starting to freeze--while he is doing that , i will be packing dishes and glasses etc from the kitchen cupboards--son and wife are walking away from mortgage and next week will be picking up their belongings....so sad..

this week, i have been trying to coordinate a holiday ornament exchange on the OFF board - and it is funny- these folks are all over 50 years old and cannot follow directions! i told them to PM -which they all did this time! checkmark! i needed their first and last name, mailing address and email address ...and 8 pm EST last nite was the drawing so i could get info out--at 10 PM last nite i was still hounding for email addresses- only need two right now so it'sbetter! and another gal wanted in--ok fine!!! my eyes were shot from being up since 430 am est and being on teh comp all day at work--so i gave in and went to bed!!!!so-that is what i am working on today and tomrrow-getting the drawing info out to 34 ppl via email!!!

so what are you up to this weekend?????

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
