Happy Anniversary Karen!

I like Renee forgot about these dates until I received an email from obesityhelp.

It sounds like you're right on track and doing what needs to be done. This extra 20 pounds is so very difficult for me to get rid of. I dream of the beginning when I'd wake up in the morning and have dropped 5 pounds over night! ahhhh those were the days!

Recently I purchased a fitbit and their scale that links everything on line. I'm able to track how many steps (10k is idea) weight plus what I eat on my iphone, ipad, computer all of it! It has helped me alot to stay on track. I'm checking it daily to see what i'm doing for steps. Its helped me to continue goin to the gym on a almost daily basis. I'm not trying to sound like a commercial I'm just saying how its been a help for me with tracking,

The struggle is even though I'm excersiing and dieting and doing all that i should I have a heck of a time losing weight! I know part of that is my age its so much more difficult to lose after the 30's. But I keep plugging along.

I know that with the 125 pounds gone I've extended my life and now its my job to keep working at it to make my life not only extended but healthier.

off the soap box!

congratulations heres to another 9 years! and many more

Hey you, happy anniversary! Hope you're ok, taking any NSAIDS is huge. So much needs to be understood about the post-surgery life that they just don't tell you pre-surgery. At the time of our surgeries, I don't believe the surgeons really understood themselves, the industry has improved so much with so many other options. Hope you're ok, V - take care!

Hi Karen, happy anniversary! I didn't even realize today was my own until I went into my email and found a message from OH. Glad you're doing well, I need to get 25 lbs. of regain off as well, it's a struggle every day. My Vitamin D levels have improved since I bumped up my daily supplement to 5,000 g. - especially important in these dreary winter months when I don't get outside. My protein and albumin levels are always low as well and is contributing to a serious muscle issue that seems to have developed in my legs. The human body is an amazing piece of work - how everything must work together all the time to stay healthy. Very good to hear from you, would love to hear more about how you took the regained weight off. Zap me an email at: [email protected]

Take care of you!!!!

Well looks like we've all pretty much moved on but I thought I'd check in. It's been 9 years and my life is still controlled by a little monster I call TAZ! He's a strict, harsh and brutal master but I've at least maintained my goal weight.

Would I do it again knowing what I know now? Yes but I would have been smarter about some choices I made while under "doctors orders" ie taking NSAIDS. That was a HUGE mistake.

Hope that everyone is doing well. Happy anniversary month MARCHERS!

Wow!  What a ride!  I'd do it all again!  Just lost 25 lbs of regain thru a medically supervised program at our local hospital so I'm feeling good to be back down.  Hope everyone else is doing ok.  Other than always fighting my vitamin D issue, I am healthy.

i'm here and doing ok. work...sucks

health wise doing good blood sugar is under control with diet and excersize. weight wise i've held for the past year but would LOVE to lose 15 to 20 pounds., alittle bit hard to do when ya gotta eat every 2 to 3 hours or get sick.

who knew that i'd have surgery to lose weight then have to eat so frequently??? go figure!

apparently its the reason why i gained so much all those years ago. oh well as long as i can hold i'm happy and always ALWAYS working at losing that 15 to 20.

2 year old granddaughter is a pleasure. a joy. i love that little girl so much! she calls me bunny. i love that too.

boyfriend is fantastic. this one might be the forever keeper. he lets me be me isn't controling. listens! yes LISTENS! love it. its over one and a half years so if he makes my 3 year relationship fails thats a good sign!

hope allis well that metobloic thing does not sound fun i hope that the new year finds you both and every one from our group well.

god bless

Hi Guys! I just thought I would check in.  Apparently, I have had some freaky metabolic thing my whole life that is really rare and connected to this rare connective tissue disease I have.  My family was really swimming way to close in the gene pool in the past I guess.  After some weird medication adjustments, I am losing weight regularly. I am down to 185 pounds and losing 2-4 pounds a week no matter how much I eat and I'm actually getting a little freaked by that.

Hi everyone, I was remembering with great fondness our connection - how can it be that so many years have passed? If anyone is around, please check in, say hello and let us know how you are doing? I am really struggling with food demons and trying to get some help with it. The biochemical issues linked to food addiction is very real and present in my life. So I am struggling and attempting to do things differently. Otherwise, I am pretty disconnected with the whole gastric bypass world - I continue to get my levels checked annually and they continue to show very depleted stores of calcium, D, and albumin - despite I have religiously supplemented since 2004. Would love to hear from you! Hope all is well in your worlds. Love, Reenie
