i am out sick today. have a nasty UTI going to the doctors soon to take care of business. Not feeling too great right now but not major hopefully we've caught it before the big pain starts!

of course everyone at work will think i'm out because yet again CT has been hit with another snow storm. only 4 to 6 inches in my area. arggg it might as well be 12 feet as far as i'm concerned i'm terrified to drive in the white crap.

yes its pretty. i love how pretty it is. but i don't have to like it.

so today i'm tring to do other things to take my mind off of the UTI facebook emails goign to try to do some reading of course bill as usual.
wondered how everyone is doing.

reenie i was looking for your food posting i' hoping your doing as great as you were.

judy are you still down? hope your feeling better soon.

Hi Pam, her name is Crissie...   I just got into work and I have to tell you the roads are trecherous. Should get better as the temp warms up but I was scared to death and my care was slipping all over the place. This has been the Winter From Hell! I've had a rough time of it these last few days but am really getting to a place of understanding with it all - I think "healing" is on the horizon for me, thanks for your good thoughts. Be careful out there today and get that UTI taken care of! Maureen

laying low for me. my firend who lives in the same town as i and works in norwich called on the way into work so we chatted. she has a headset hands free! she said the roads were bad too we didin't talk for long so she could concitrate. its not so much her as a driver she is good its those other idiots out there who think that they are invisible. usually you see them along the road after they zoom past.
i'm terrified to drive in snow. i would be a hazard to the other drivers so i really believe its best for me to be home and not go out into it. today i am really not feeling well of course my boss won' tbelieve me but i am fortunate in that they are understanding. i also work here i'm not a slacker and have sold some things too. that makes al lllll of us happy!
trying to save for a new couch. i d din't get as much back from income tax this year and had to pay off some things so the rest needed to go to emergency fund/savings. i've got a separet account for the new couch. its goign to take me forever! just when i think i have enough is when the car breakes down or the dog has to go to the vets or something in the house falls apart. forget about goign away vacations! i'd love to go to disney this year but its not in the cards. maybe next year.

Hi guys, Oh Pammy, I am so sorry you are feeling bad.  Please take care of yourself.  Push fluids.  The doc will have you up and running soon.  How was your dance?  I was imagining you twirling in that lovely blue and black gown. Dancing used to be my passion.  I would dance for hours without stop.  You would have thought it would have taken a few pounds off, but no,  I still can sway around a little.  Stupid hip pops out if I get carried away.I hope you had a blast.  Im living vicariously through you!  The snow is sucking major here in Ohio as well.  There was a 40 car pile up in Columbus this morning.  Because of my stupid joints I can't go out in this weather.  A fall for me means a trip to the ER and another hip replacement.  Whee!  I was scared to death when I went out Sunday.  It makes me totally stir crazy.  I have gotten some writing done during this storm anyway.  This book is dark, excercising the monsters through prose.

Stick in there Reenie, I know you're going to beat the sugar jones.  I'm in my remission stage right now.  My Honey brought me a small box of Russel Stover SF Raspberry truffles for Valentines.  I only ate two of them and didn't touch anything else.  Tommorrow I will have been eating healthy for two weeks.  I found another thing that helps me eat healthy when I want sweets.  I have known frozen grapes were tasty for years but, Johnny brought me home frozen black cherries for my protein drinks.  There are only 150 calories in the whole bag.  I made a smoothie with just a few of them to add flavor and thought I would eat one frozen.  I pop one of them when I need a fix.  I've had them for two weeks and haven't made a dent in them.  They taste like ice cream.

oooo the frozen cherries sound wonderful!!! i love seedless grapes. did yo knw that they aide in digestion and do not effect blood sugar like some other friutes? i eat them alot now. its how i get my sugar fix without messing up other things. when i think of all the surgery stuff i use to eat before surgery. i'm surprised i wasn't a lot more weight than i was.
i love to dance too. the valentines day was fun we had a good time. the dress isn't a twirly dress but it did a good job and held up just fine.
when we first had started dating my boyfriend had gotten us swing dance classes. we went for 6 weeks. it was alot of fun. i use to take swing lessons and use to be ok enough to hold my own with an understanding partner at the singles dances but the boyfriend has his own swing dance style which isnt' anything like the steps they teach you hahaha we've adapted and now have our own steps.
i feel fo ryou 40 inches is way too much snow. my mother an sister live in NH they get snow regularly like our sunshine. i'll complain about snow and mom just laughs.
how many hip replacements have you had?? ouch!

Oh how I love to swing dance!!!!!!!!!!  I don't usually toot my own horn but I could dance!  Before I got totally huge I was always the belle of the ball.  I won every contest I ever entered.  When I was 25 years old a friend and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas.  There was a huge singles party the first night with a dance contest.  My friend had never seen me dance as there really wasn't a venue near us.  There were tiny dancers all drunk and wearing nothing on the floor at the contest and I remeber how truly bad they were.  I told I thought they sucked and she asked to me to prove that.  I did.  I won.  The next day eveyone kept saying,"Oh, you're the girl in all the pictures."  I didn't know what they were talking about until I saw the wall of pics.  I was in almost all of them!  I thought it was a little creepy and went to talk to the photographer and ask what he thought he was doing.  Apparently, everyone on the ship wanted a pic of the dancing girl.  It was weird.  Anyway, that was another lifetime.  One before I found out about the EDS.  Strangely enough, no symptoms until AFTER I lost 300 pounds!  I tell everyone that the fat was the glue that held me together!  Haha!  I lost weight for my health.  It was never about my looks.  I truly believe everyone is beautiful and they just need to look inside and find that beautiful spark and fan the flames.  EDS is a connective tissue disorder that involves collagen.  My joints do not hold together.  I have weird skin that is extremely soft and cuts and tears easily.  The medical term is velvet skin, it feels like velvet.  I have cut myself to the bone tearing off aluminium foil. I have literally torn off fingers and toes and had to have them sewn back on.  Needless to say weight loss leaves me with folds of loose skin.  As for the hip replacements, I have had 5 total right hips in the last 4 years.  Along with 12 dislocations which involve closed surgical relocation.  That is no longer an option, if it breaks now, I have to get it replaced.  I asked my doc at the Cleveland Clinic to put in a zipper.   The local ortho doc had done 3 replacements and was in tears because he couldn't fix me and sent to CLeveland.  Some 85 years old German doc who is a genetisist as well as ortho ,who is the best in the world at this, had flown in to see me.  Apparently it is genetic and very rare.  1/40,000.  He asked me if I wanted him to take my hip out!!!  I told him," not only no, but HELL no!  I'll keep getting fixed for as long as God and the insurance company let me!"  I now have a lot of limitations, but with God as my witness this is something I have, it doesn't have me!  The insurance company bought me this totally cool little electric scooter that folds up like an umbrella.  When I have long distances to walk (vacation or shopping)  I take it with me and off I go.  Hilton Head here I come.  Love Crissie

We all get to whine a little now and then, it's perfectly healthy.  I hope to see you outta twirlin, around someday!  Savin' up for another cruise.  Ever been?  They are totally awesome!  And OMG I thought I was the only lightweight.  Here I am a good old-fashioned Irish chickie who gets totally plastered ass drunk on a single Captain Morgan and Diet coke.  My hubby laughs at me and says I am definitely a cheap date.  And yeah I'm the goofy clown whereever I go.

Here I am a good old-fashioned Irish girl who gets plastered assed drunk sipping on a single Captain Morgan and diet Coke. My family just laughs at me. Hubby calls me a chep date. And oh yeah!
