Turkey is cooking

Wonderful smells are filling my house. Yesterday I was helping my sister bring packages into the house and watched all up and down each neighbor in my little condo village was doing the same thing with their familys!
Later my boyfriend came over and visited with my mother, sister, oldest son, duaghter in law an my daughter. It was so nice to see everyone sitting around talking and laughing and eating. Then we unwrapped presents! Such a mess but such fun!
this morning my mom and I talked for a while while I made breakfast and prepared different things for our meal.
As I made the meal I was thinking about how I cook so different now than almost 6 years ago. I season things now. My turkey is stuffed with an onion, apple, and orange. I do have stuffing that I've made for anyone who wants it but not inside of the bird. My Christmas cookies are pepperidge farm! I see people eating them so I do not think they feel slighted. hahaha All those years I stressed about making several diffrent kinds and al of the other high calorie sugary things. Not to mention the money involved along with all that baking and cooking.
I can't wait for the turkey it smells so good!
My little dog is waiting with her nose in the air right near the stove. sniff sniff sniff!!!
