Ok friends and family!

Now that I've got the LBS under control...Now that the Thyroid is under control...Now that I'm feeling GREAT!
Now is the time to get back on a good diet schedule.
Due to the LBS I need to eat every 2 to 3 hours. It will always be a miniumn of every 3 hours. I'm getting closer to the 3 hours rather than the 2 so I'm trying hard to stick to that. Every 3 hours will give me less calories.
I'm eating good things too.
Fresh fruits.
Protein
Milk & other calcium products (another word for eating cheese hehe)\
and the hated Vegi's - can't be perfect never was never will be
Reading up on the good vegi's and fruits. Red seedless grapes are very good for us. they do something wonderful to the insides of our tummys plus process well LBS wise and they are low calories. Bananas I need to eat one a day cause of the potassium but I also need to not have the really really REALLY ripe ones cause they are extra sweet and trigger LBS watermelon whilelow in calories doens't work for me its too sweet. Dam its one of my favorites.
Vegis - i eat baby carrots (rarely tring to change that to daily even if its only 3 pieces its a start)
broccoli - its right up there on the list of things I don't care for but its good for me so I eat alittle bit of it every day. I hide it in my egg white omelet
Onions - did you know these are good for us? not like i'd sit and eat a whole one but i do add some chopped up inj my egg white omelet every day.
green beans - i eat these maybe 2 a week
i'm tring to add more vegis its very difficult for me with those.
eating fish 2 times a week minium.
then theres my chicken and turkey i like ground up turkey as a patti
no bread. i dont' miss it. i feel good.
feeling good tastes better than bread.
I am still having a hard time cutting out my wheat thins but i have got it down to one serving a day.
sooooooo todays meals are as follows;
b. egg white omelet with broc, onion, flax seed (VERY good for everybody) and slice of lo fat cheese
s. atkins bar - do you know my endocronolgist says that this is a good source for protein? low sugar and low alchol sugar? the ones i get have an additional 17 grms of protein
l. 3 oz tuna melted cheese 16 red seedless grapes
s. will be atkins bar
d. beans with ground turkey a mild chili beans are very good for us.
s. tonight will be apple with peanut butter.
i'vegot to go to fitday and add it all in

I want you to know that today you inspired me again.  I have my scope in the morning and was supposed to eat easily digestible foods today.  No meat, just soups and crackers and puddings.  My stomach was pretty sore from the ulcer when I was at the store looking for something to eat.  I started to reach for Wheat Thins and I thought, "Nope. Pammy's quitting the Wheat Thins so I'm going to step away from the box and follow her lead."  Came home and had a protein shake.

i think because i have an addictive personality that i have to have something to be addicted to! can't have cookies or ice cream or candy anymore so the next thing is salty stuff. wheat thins are perfect cause theres not a ton of sodium they are crunchy and taste good. unfortunately they are useless calories...waaaaaa
i have 2 boxes that i can not bare to throw away so i'm doleing them out a serving a day. thats a big cut from 3 servings a day of useless caloires it totals up to almost 500 unless calories! when you write the amount down it just reinforces why its good to give them up. i can eat a ton of seedless grapes and not come close to those calories!
ahhhh my new addiction RED SEEDLESS GRAPES!
of course there is the down side to them....
gas
bloating
runs
i just can't win now can I?
good luck with the scope keep us posted!

Runs?  Runs?  I'd kill for the runs.        You always want what you don't have.

I posted on the scope.  I'm afraid that all of this anemia business is going to mean postponing my October surgery.  The Man says that back when he was a body builder, he used to make shakes with pre-digested protein and he thinks I should try it.  I think GNC sells it, but I have no idea whether it would do folks like us any good.   Maybe I'll post on that and see if anybody has any thoughts.

Your eating plan looks great, just remember that fruit & vegies also add carbs & sugar, so eat the protein first. Your choices look good. I am a brocoli lover, so that is not
a problem for me, just fixing for myself is the problem. I can't remeber when I had a vegie last. Bad Me!! Have a good day

I"m the same way marilyn about vegis. we not bad we just know what we like!
vegis are so hard for me. I've never been a lover of them. years ago i'd have rather had cookies. cant touch them now!
yes the fruit and vegies add carbs and sugar thats why i have to have the right ones. with the LBS I need ones that will break down naturally and healthily. i can't do watermelon cause for me its too sugary and sets up the spike and crash of an episode. but the red seednless grapes don't do that. they do satisfy the sweetness urge that is so strong with me. Even tho i still have to have protein with it so i have it with a cheese stick. protein and good carbs together for ever just like strawberry fields! (hehe just was listening to beatles)
thanks for your imput i appreciate it.

Your eating program sounds a lot like what I am trying to do. Since school has started back I havn't been on here much.  Maybe when I get back in a routine I'll have more time to get back on the message board . Have a good day . Judy

God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. Today is very imporant, because I'm exchaning a day of my life for it.
