Where did Everyone Go???
Hi There
Just a quick check in & ask where is everyone this week? Hopefully off doing summer
stuff & you are all doing O.K.!!
Still unemployed here, still fighting to stay low-carb as possible, still seeing lots of
Doc's regarding back issues. Still no answers as to why it hurts all the time.
Other than that Same old stuff going on in my life.
Lots of applications out there & nothing happening. Patients is running quite thin
these days.
I am still walking 3 to 4 days a week & that does seem to help the head somewhat
hope all is well. Check in when you can!!

Hi Marilyn,
I'm here on vacaton this week. Getting lots done in the condo. Got to keep things up cause you just never know when you might want to sell.
I have a funeral to go to tonight for a fellow Lions club member. He's been a member for years.
the lions club helps blind people. we work hard to collect and earn money that is donated for eye reseearch.
He lost his sight about 4 years ago and still kept going to the meetings and doing what he could to help. His daughter who was not a lions club member would bring him. I think he was in his 70's and even after he lost his sight he never lost his sense of humor. He'd been ill and was in a nursing home and passed away in his sleep. several of our lions are going to do a ceremony that is really very touching.
the president will do a roll call. Each Lions meember who is there when their name is called will say present. A bell is rung and then They call the person who has passed last. They will call his name and ring the bell three times then say a prayer.
I've not felt well this year and haven't made alot of the lions meetings. But I try not to miss the funerals.
On a lighter note, Yesterday I went to the beach in the first time for almost 10 years. It was fun! I only stayed for 30 minutes cause I am VERY pale and get sun poisoning. The air was wsondedrful the waves sounded great and there was such a nice breeze. I took a quit dip had my cottage cheese people watched then stopped at a couple of stores. It was a nice day.
Hard to believe that tomorrow is my last vacation day then the weekend then back to work.
Don' tget me wrong I"m very thanknful to have my job but I"m also thankful that I had this week off.

So far I've lost 4 pounds in the past 3 weeks and I feel a difference in my clothes too.The walking has been a big help.

Good for you on the walking. I did some this week, but, not as much as last week & I feel it. I did help a neighbor clean her really bad apartment today. Spent 2 hours & still
not done. She got a 10 day notice to move if not cleaned that is how bad this was.
I managed to get through some of the dirt & you can see the floor again. I just hope
she keep it up this time. She is a very lost sole at this point & very depressed. Can't get her to take antidepressants & really needs them. Can't help someone who doesn't want
the help. Anyways Good luck & hope the funeral was nice & not too depressing.

I was wondering where everybody is, too. It's good to hear from you. I'm still doing the South Beach Diet, but I have not been walking like we're supposed to. I'm walking a little, but if I'm ever going to lose much weight , I'm going to have to do better!

God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. Today is very imporant, because I'm exchaning a day of my life for it.

Its hot today in Connecticut not as hot was wha tyou have marilyn but its muggy and I'm sweating up a storm. not walking tonight. its my last day of vacation and i'm relaxing after painting all afternoon. the bathroom looks very pretty. i'm excited about doing the change to it. not alot of money but the difference is amazing.
