2 oz Turkey and 2 oz. of celery sticks
120 calorie Atkins bar and celery sticks
2 oz chicken and 1/2 cup pinto beans, onions, tomato and bell pepper sticks
1 sugar free fudge cycle
200 calorie Atkins Protien Meal Replacement Bar
15 Almonds
I realize that the Atkins bars are not on the South Beach Diet, but it fits in the type of food you're supposed to eat.
After reading the book , I'm going to do somethings different.

OMG I have got to tell you about this cool new blender I got. its a bullet and makes the most wondeful shakes taste just like a milkshake. I use 2% milk along with my protein powder and some fresh strawberries - no sugar that I had frozen. It was so good. only came in at 175 calories and it was filling. for two days last week I made that for my dinner. today I'm going to have it

bonus s. lara bar - these are what my naturalist doc recommends instead of atkins. they have more carbs and sugar in them but it is all natural from the fruits and nuts that are in them. there are NO glutens or wheat in them just fruite and nuts. they are pretty good too. i'm trying to wheen myself from the atkins cause in a way i'm using them like cookies now. the ones i always eat have 200 calories so i'malso trying to cut calories the larabar is only 140.
I'm really liking the egg white omlettes too. they taste good. I dont' miss theyellow part of the egg at all now. the whites have all the protein and good stuff in them for you. its the yellow that has the bad cholester in it. Plus I shaved almost 50 caloirers by eating 2 egg whites instead of one large egg. AND it gives me more to eat! Lasts longer too!

I have tried a Philly swrill frozen bar that sugar and fat free and only has 14 calories , they are very good.
Since Monday I have felt so much better. I know it is because I'm not eating sugar . I don't know why I do that to myself. Eating sugar is sooooooooooooooooo bad for me. I've been a diabetic for over 25 years and I know what it does to me. It's not like a diabetic can't have sugar, It's the carbs that we have to watch, but when I eat something with lots of sugar in it, like a donut or candy, I just go crazy, I just eat it till I'm sick. Last week end Charles bought half of a black walnut pound case at a fund raiser we were having in our community. It did not have iceing on it. Sat. we ate half of it and Sunday I went to Publix and bought cream cheese icing and put on it and we ate the rest of it!! My husband is 6'4" and weighs about 240, and he does not have high blood pressure or diabetes. He will eat what ever I do that is healthy. But if I go crazy like I did last week end , he'll help me eat everything in the house !! So when I'm bad, I am killing him , too.

I would do is kill the milk in the shakes. it ads a lot more calories then we need & might
(at least for me) will kick that carb monster again. You know that bananas are very
high in sugar as well, don't you. They do have a lot of potassium, but, the down side is
the sugar content in them. Being diabetic, I only eat them once in awhile. will shoot

Yes the bananas are high in sugar. I'm suppose to have a small one and to eat them with a protein either an hour before i work out or after i work out. The LBS can go into type 2 diatibies so i'm doing just what the doc said hopefully it stays were it is!
Right now I'm doing good and the scale is starting to move downward. Very slowly but at least its going down. I have to eat so much each day that its so hard to find the things that are right for the LBS. I dont want anything that will trigger the LBS. So I stay away from processed sugar. I get mine from fresh fruits and veggies.
I thougth I would miss my decaf coffee but I've gotten past it now and dont miss it. I feel so much better without it. the slight amount of caffeine that is in decaf would trigger an episode of LBS.
Carbs argggg only the good ones for me,. so no white potatoes only sweet potatoes. I'm liking them more and more. I only have about one a week. No spagahetti unless its whole wheat nd it does not taste the same so i dont' bother.Its another life change for me but i' mnot complaining I'm feeling good and healthy. its been almost a year since it hit and taken this long to get to semi normal.
