Back again for support!!
Well ladies,I'm back again!! I've joined the South Beach Diet web site and ordered the book and I have the online support for the next 27 days, then I will have to pay $5.00 a week for the web site. But I am not going to continue, because I can get all the support I need from my FRIENDS here!! I know all I have go do is ask. Tomorrow is my first day and I'm going to post what I eat on this board.
Phase 1
Breakfast is :
Protien - 2 oz., Vegetable - 1/2 cup, 1 % or fat free milk, 2 cups for the whole day , Fat - 1 teas.
#1 Snack
Protein - 1 oz. and a vegetable is recommended
Lunch :
Protein- 3 oz , Vegetable - 2 cups (Milk) Fat - 1 Tbsp
#2 Snack same as #1
Dinner: Same as lunch
#3 Snack - same as #2, OR Dessert
Dessert should be sugar free and you should not eat over 75 to 100 calories.
Suggestions: Sugar free jello, or sugar free popcycle or sugar free fudge cycle,
Snacks can be nuts or low fat cheese or natural peanut butter ,. any form of low fat protein. and vetetables. Suggestions are: celery stick with PNB or string cheese and broccoli. 15 Almonds, etc.

God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. Today is very imporant, because I'm exchaning a day of my life for it.
i've cut back on my calories in little ways. its difficult to find it sometimes to cut! instead of a large egg that is 98 calories i have 3 large egg whites that are less than 60 calories! they even fill me up more than the one large egg. and they are loaded with protein. its the yellow part that has the bad stuff in it. I had totally forgotten all of that until I started going to fitday again.
my addiction right now is wheat thin crackers. OMG I love those things. a portion is 14 crackers and has 140 calories. i've tried to find something that is better for me than those. i did find that when i eat them they do bother my LBS alittle bit so that i dont' get sick but i do get shakey. so yesterday i cut them out. i'm hoping to continue that today.
instead of those i have a cheese stick and seedless grapes. less calories more protein and the sugar in the grapes is a good sugar it doesn't bother the LBS as long as it is combined with the cheese stick.
i swear to god i spend more time thinking and planning my food than i ever did in my whole life!
good luck adn god bless judy let us know how well your doing with the south beach. its a much better diet than atkins cause it gives you more variety and its healthier because of that variety@!

Hows it going Judy? I know your working hard on the south beach diet. You can do it! Its hard but remember how hard it was when we were all trying to get the ok for our surgeriys? This old south beach diet is gonna be so easy! Cause now your stronger! You have the knowledge to do it! You also still have your pouch! Your pouch will work for you!
You also remember how good you felt at the smaller weight. Thats a big plus cause you want to be back there and I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

this morning for breakfast I had 2 egg whites (39 cal) 1 slice of lo fat cheese (50cal) 1 slice of whole wheat bread (50 cal) 1 teaspoon of ground flax seeds (17 cal and sooo good for you) `156 total calories and all filled up!
snack is a atkins bar 200 cal
another snack is a banana 90 cal
lunch is 1 slice whole wheat (50 cal) with 1.5 teaspoons of peanut butter (150 cal) 20 seedless grapes (35 cal)
snack cottage cheese with rasins (120 cal)
snack atkins 200 cal
dinner chicken green beans
walk 30 minutes crunches 60, 3 type of leg lifts 40 weights for arms

i'm eating alot remember from my LBS but i'm within the calorie limit that fitday has given me to lose weight slowly each week based on what i want to lose the time limit i've given myself and the excersize that i do.

1 Turkey sausage pattie, and 2 eggs with spinash, onions and 1 tbsp.shredded low fat cheddar cheese and celery sticks
15 almonds
Salad w/ lettuce and walnuts and cottage cheese
Sugar free Fudge cycle
Tomorrow I'm going to try to do better on my food choices. Today, I am just too lazy to fix much cooked foods.
My husband , Charles , has chicken houses. He has 42000 chi****ns. He sells them every 8 weeks and tonight he will be out all night getting the chickens ready to be picked up. He had to cut the feed off at 10 tonight , then he will have to raise the feeders up later and then cut the water off and raise the drinkers up in the ceiling so the catcher can get in to catch them. He has all kinds of equipment he has to move. They will start catching the chickens in the morning at 8. So, I'm home alone. I pray I can stay on the diet !!
My sister went to church tonight and I kept her "babies" , we had so much fun.

YOu know I use to worry about being alone cause I'd not stay with my diet then I realized it didt'n matter if someoen was with me or not it was still up to me to stick with it. sure sometimes it is harder cause its nice to feel like we have someone there to not so much keep an eye on us but to be company so we do not start thinking about food.
