why do new glasses that are suppoe to help you see better really don't at first? i picked the new ones up last night.
when i tried them on at the store they were great. fit well and i can see much better but gee****s like i've never had bifocals before! i'm walking funny and things just don't seem right. the lady said it takes a while and i have 30 days to use them and can take them back if i want.
i'm pretty sure this happened the last time i got new glasses. what is odd is that my perscription isn't that different than before there were only slight changes but i was ready for a new look. i like them look wise.
then i got reading glasses. now these i expected a big difference cause they ar for reading only i don't expect to be able to see distances. what is amazing is how dizzy they make me when i look up from the book or computer! the plus side is my neck isn't hurting trying to tilt it back far enough when i'm reading with bifocals. i do alot of reading in bed at night and last night right away i felt a difference. it was pleasurable to read at night again! the computer with them i'm not too sure yet. i think book in relation to face works computer screen to face not so much. the closer i sit the better the computer view without the next crank arggggg is it never perfect???
ahahah
i am fortunate that i am able to see and thankful i was able to get new glasses.
now just gotta get use to them!
gee thgey are a lighter frame i wonder if i lost weight?

If they made you bifocals they are no longer just for reading, that is suppose to mean you where them all the time. The top part is for distance & the bottom for reading.
I know have had them for lots of years & also will get updated ones when the tax
refund gets here. My AZ Insurance won't pay for them so have to pay for them myself.
You will get use to them should only take a couple of days, if not they made them too
strong & you should say something. Are you saying u have 2 pairs. You  shuold not
need reading glasses along with the bifocals. That is probaby what is confusing the brain.

I'm use to the new glasses.! Just took a day.
yes Marilyn I've had bifocals for many years. I love them I always get th eonews that do not have the line that shows.
The reason why I got a separate pair of reading glasses is that it is very difficult to read with the bifocals when i' mlaying down. which is what I do in bed each night before I go to sleep. The reading part is on the bottom so I have to tip my head back it gives me a neck ache hurts it even more since i'd had the car accidnet and whip lash a coupl eyears back.
the same thing happens when i use the computer. I cant see the screen that good and i have to tip my head back so far that my neck hurts argggg its a losing battle!
the reading ones work great for at night in bed. I was so comfortabellast night using them. I'm not able to use them for the computer cause the computer is farther away than what you would hold a book. My sister has computer glasses. they make them just right for how far awya the screen is. Next time I get new glasses I'll get a pair of those!
I didn' trealize how much difference my eyes were with the new pair. I could see much better today!

Hey Pammy
How are those glasses doing now? Hopefully better. I did not get new glasses, but, did
get new frames yesterday & wow what a difference. Back when I was with that Billy person He broke my other frames & at the time had to buy cheap $18 ones & they were very dark frames & made me look a lot older. Now back to wire frames that
have a lavender tent to them. Much better. Too much to get new lenses right now
will do that later after the job happens.

Marilyn that sounds great about your new frames. isn't it funny how something like that just chagnes our how outlook? if we feel we look good then we are good!  they come out with new styles all the time for glasses. if they weren't so expensive i'd love to have several pairs to go with outfits. hahaha but thats not going to happen! someone shoujdl come up with lenses you can pop into different color frames. ever see those watches tht have a removeable colored ring about the face part? i use to have one of those it was great for when i was wearing different colors.
i don't even wear a watch now. when i' mwith custoemrs its rude to look at your watch so i don't use one. i want my customers to knwo that they are important to me and however long it takes to help them i will do.
have a great day!
