5 YEARS - A Read for Pam, Mike, and Everyone!!
Hi guys - here we are, February 4th, and for some of us that means we're really just about at the wire of our 5 year anniversaries! Wow, can you believe it??? Here's a question for everyone: who of us is seeing our WLS surgeons for a 5 year check-up? Specifically, a question (and invitation) to PAM and MIKE!!! I made my appt. with Dr. Aranow for March 17th - yes, St. Patty's Day (I told Pat at Aranow's office that I'll give up my green beer for my 5 minutes with Dr. A!)... I deliberately made it for a Tuesday so I can go to the hospital for the SG meeting. PLEASE SAY YES TO THIS! Join me!!! You might even be able to get your appt. for that same day, late in the afternoon (if you haven't made your appt. already). I would be so grateful for the opportunity to be with you both at the SG meeting so that we can celebrate this very momentous occasion together - and even share our history with the group. I'm scared to see Aranow, I'm up about 8 lbs. since last year's visit. But I have questions for him and what I learn I will share with our Board. But wouldn't it - oh WOULDN'T IT - be so wonderful for the three of us to have just a couple of hours together in humble appreciation of our friendship, our Board, our history?? Let me know. As for all of us, let's start thinking about unique ways that we can celebrate together despite that we are scattered all over the country - like perhaps we can pick a day and time when we can all stop what we're doing and raise a glass of something or other - at precisely the same time - and give thanks to this Board and be proud of how far we've come. What do you think? Love to all, Maureen
Hi There;
Much as I'd like to say definitely YES, I'm not going to commit to more than a definite maybe. I'm not big on celebrating St. Patty's Day (even though I'm half Irish), so that's not an issue. I just don't know what my work and family schedule will allow this far in advance. If it is at all possible, and there's anything left of me after work, I will be there. I'm just not going to make a promise that I may not be able to keep. I'll really try though.
Be well, my friend;
Mike

it sounds like such a great idea reenie but i can' ttake the time off right now starting a new territory at that time of year isn't workable. now things gear up for busy. spring time is time to talk to builders and remodelers, then theres easter coming plus mothers day fathers day all those usual not to mention the other advertising dates that are important. with deadlines coming right and left its crazy!
plus my vacation time will be spent going to NH to take care of my mom while my sister gets her much needed break time.
i've got to call him to make an appointment for my check up but its as much as the 5 year as a recheck with the low blood sugar. i do want to talk to him about the postive results i'm getting with my homeopathic dr and how i wasn't too thrilled with his dietician i won' tbe making another apointment with her. nice person just didnm't understand my issues.
oh welllll
let us all know how you make out
