Dentist
so yesterday was my root canal. i'm glad i went he's a good dentist. my face is alittle swollen and the area is sore but it is so much better than its been over the past few weeks!
i am terrified of the dentist which is why i wait until i'm in extreme pain hoping that its going to go away. it never does!
this time beofre the root canal for a week i would medatate about what was goign to happen. with eyes closed i woulod walk myself into his office, see the chair, think about what was goign to happen. i've had root canals before i know what to expect.
its not the pain that stops me from going to the dentist its the fear of being helpless in that chair.
the new dentist knows this we talked last week before the root canal. he was good. patient. fast. all of the peoploe in his office were very careing and nice.
whew.
but i was still the one that had to sit in that chair!
poor dentist man.
at one point i was holding the sucky thing that takes the water out of your mouth. hugging it to my chin while my hands were pressed together while i prayed to the dental gods to please keep him on a quick and steady course.
he chatted all through it. that was good. as long as they do't ask me questions cause how can i answer ahything unless its a plea to hurry up?
ahhh its done!
the best thing they can do is say are you oki do you need anything? then get out of the way cause i'm on my way rushing out the door!
i have an appointment to go back on the 21st and I will cause I am a big girl! i CAN do this!
can't i?
arggggggg

Pammie...Im glad you survived the dreaded root canal...sounds like you have a nice caring doctor there....see they all arent bad LOL....in my years of working in dentistry you dont know how many hands Ive had to hold or tears to wipe away, grown men included...it does help having a patient/caring doctor. But anyway glad you are doing better and KEEP that next appointment it will only get easier!
