Hi all - it will help me to "give" my food over and my plan for living healthily - beginning today. If it helps just one other person, I'm a happy camper! Of course, join me if you think it will help you! I'm estimating the calories and protein count, if you come up with something else or if I seem to be way off, would you clue me in? Thanks - have a great day, friends. Maureen

Sounds good Reenie...I wish you the best, seriously I dont think I could survive on it...too restricting for me. Maybe a day or two eating like that but definatly would not work in the long run for me. I need more substance in food...yogurt for me wont cut it as a meal. Let me know how it works for you...good luck!

Me so far today I have had two fried eggs with shreeded cheese ontop...cup on coffee with splenda. Half a bagel with light cream cheese and salmon.

May have a turkey sandwich later for lunch with light mayo and a clematine.

Snack protein shake

Dinner havent thought that far yet. Ill try to find the calorie intake and such and edit this later on.

And ALL my vitiamins and some water to boot...and take a nice walk with my dog and throw in some situps and Ill be good to go.

Reenie - sent you an email explaining my absence.  long and short - fell off a ladder, serious damage to nerves in elbow, typing is painful, lots of time at physical therapy.  Working over 60 hours a week.

Food for me... yeesh!

B-fast at 11:30 - Fish sandwich from Mickey D's with one slice of the bun.

Dinner - So far, about 4 ounces of sirloin steak.

Gotta rush to the 2nd job and will probably eat something else when I get off work at 10:00.  If I'm lucky, it won't be 1/2 a bag of chips because I'm just too tired to fix anything that's better for me.

I have no blooming idea how much I weigh.  Clothes fit the same as they did befor the holidays so I'm grateful for that.

I have no idea what real exercise is like anymore, but I'm on my feet for 4 or 5 hours a day and spend part of that running up and down stairs.  That's probably why my clothes still fit after the holidays.

I'm on my food plan from the dietician because of the low blood sugar. so far it is doing good seems to be regulating itself as long as I stick to the plan but when I go off of it I will get an episode.

5am  8oz low fat skim millk
6:30am breakfast - one egg, slice of whole wheat bread, slice of low fat cheese
9:30 snack - 4 oz cottage cheese, tablespoon of rasins 1/2 a small banana
12 lunch - slice of whole wheat bread, 3 oz turkey, carrots sticks
3pm snack - cheese stick, 10 low fat wheat thins
6pm dinner - 3 oz steak, 1/2 cup green beans, 1/2 cup whole wheat rice
planned snack at 9ish pm - tapioca pudding

When I first had the mega problems with the low blood sugar I was gaining weight like crazy without eating that much. My metabolism was all off wack.
I've lost that crazy weight and now have even lost 2 pounds from my beginning weight before the low blood sugar hit.

My next form of attack for health is to get my big butt back to a gym. This weekend is when I go to try out the one down the street from my house!

Connie, thank you for sending me the note I'm very happy that you were able to send us messages. I look forward to hearing from you again when you're feeling better

Pam, this looks to be a very healthy eating lifestyle! I LOVE all the foods on your menu - except tapioca pudding ... so good to see you taking such good care of YOU! Hugs, Reenie

This is a great eating plan...it's healthy, balanced and not impossible to stick to.  A tip for you if you like this----WW lower calorie whole wheat bread---2 slices is equal to one slice of regular whole wheat bread.  It gives you the 'feeling' that you are eating a whole sandwich, but you are only eating half.  It's a psychological thing, but it works for me.  I also recently bought the Fiber One english muffins.  They are 100 calories and very filling and delicious.  Keep us posted with this one!

Take care and be well,
Joanie

Today was not good!!  I had not eaten any sugar for 6 days, I went into Publix this after noon and a man was standing at the door and handed me a small piece of lemon cream pound cake!! And I ate it!!
Today I had an Atkins Bar for breakfast about 11 A.M.  Then at 4 I ate 3 chicken strips and 1/4 cup lima beans and 1/4 cup potato salad and a roll. All this came from Publix , and is not "healthy food" .  I'll eat something else before I go to bed. Today was my last day off from work , so I'll be up at 5 A.M. and at work at 6, so I'll be back on a schedule.  I'll eat breakfast at 7 , I'm thinking oat meal or Atkins bar.  I' ll fix  tuna for lunch for the rest of the week. I'll eat Broiled chicken every night and veggies. I'll start posting my meals and I know this will help. I watched Oprah today and she is back up to 200 pounds and is going to be having programs the next two weeks to help people get back on track.  Carnie Wilson was on the show and she has lost , she looks so good.
Well, tomorrow is another day!! Good night, Judy

God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. Today is very imporant, because I'm exchaning a day of my life for it.

Hi Judy, time to stop beating yourself up! I go in exactly the same cyle as you do - it's "all or nothing" thinking - if I'm not 100% PERFECT in my eating, I let myself eat anything because I figure, 'why not, I blew it anyway' - and then start over the next morning. I believe the cycle is really harmful and sabatoges us in the end. While it's important to get back on track after any slip-up, it's better to get back on track immediately, the same day - instead of giving ourselves license to eat whatever we want in whatever quantities we can tolerate - which for me translates to ANYTHING and in ANY AMOUNT. Not good, no, no, no.  Try writing down your commitment to what you will eat for that day, write it first thing in the a.m., make it manageable and reasonable - and then stick to it.  I am telling myself this:  I can do ANYTHING for just one day. If I still feel like eating it, I'll eat it tomorrow - but if it's not on my menu for THIS DAY, I'm not eating it! Give it a try - it's working for me, and believe me, I'm surrounded by food right now! Of course, the ever present M&M's - also in the kitchen at work, people have brought in a HUGE supply of jelly beans (oh, I love jelly beans), a pound cake, HUGE muffins, and a beautifully frosted cake!!! Guess what? None of it is on my menu for today so I'm not eating it. If I still want any of it, it will be there tomorrow - but NOT TODAY!!! Good luck, sweetheart. Reverse the trend!!! We can do this!!! M.
