I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER
Just one day off the sugar and carbs and it is absolutely amazing the difference I feel in my body and in my head. Especially my head. My life problems haven't diminished but I am much clearer in my head to deal with them. I have clarity of mind today that I haven't felt in weeks. I am ONE DAY without candy! ONE DAY without candy of any kind in my system, nor carbs of any kind. Here's what I ate yesterday: Breakfast: protein bar; Lunch: salad with greens, chicken, hard boiled egg, lite honey mustard dressing - it was soooo good! snack: celery w/PB; dinner: protein shake - but I was very hungry, so Jim scrambled an egg for me w/about an ounce of cheddar cheese melted into it - yummy! That's what I ate yesterday. Had all my water. Took a great walk outside on my lunch hour. What a difference a day makes, guys. Thanks for your support. Oh - here's the best part. Yesterday morning, the scale read 153. This morning it read 149. I kid you not. Love you, Maureen

Me... not so good. Ok. BAD> yep just bad. I woke up super early this morning to get to work cuz i have to leave early and i am NOT use to the schedule. i was SOOOO hungry!!! weird hungry. So i had a small omlet and a piece of sausage. That tied me over for a little while until just a moment ago when i was SERIOUSLY craving a donught. Yep. I ate one. It was freaking delicious. 'sigh' im not too upset about it though becaue i hadn't planned on starting today. I need to go to the store after work and get my already prepared protein drinks so i can start. I want to do a protein shake in the morning and at lunch with my protein bar then dinner. so i have one day of reprieve until im totally OFF the sugar for a LONG TIME. I hope. you are doing awesome!!! i will be joining you tomorrow. Promise!

I didn't put my numbers up to make you or anyone feel bad! I put them up to show how dramatic an effect this sort of change can have on our systems! Four lbs. in one day - surely a lot of that was water retention. I'm leaving work now - TWO DAYS WITHOUT CANDY!!! And by the way everyone, I called Connie and left a message on her Cell -- I'm getting really, really worried... M.
??? You didn't make me feel bad. Silly woman. You ARE a skinny minnie!!! LOL!!! thats awesome!!! You've come so far and you are my hero. Whenever I look at your numbers it gives me incentive ... not make me feel bad. (not make me feel bad... for some reason that sounds strange. English wise I mean.) Not.. "makes me feel bad?" or no "make me feel bad?" when you read the sentance ... its sounds... odd. don't mind me i'm the bugging writer. lol. Oh theres probably a better way to say that. lol... ANYWHOOOO i digress. badly. you're doing awesome!!! YAY!!! I haven't had any sugar today so far. I had some carbs though. I had grits. so not great. I didn't get a chance to get to the store yesterday to get my protein drinks. It's first on my list though. Once I get those puppies I'll be ready to really get down to it. But the ULTIMATE VOW TODAY is that I am totally with you, NO SUGAR!!! as in candy and bad stuff like donughts and treats. We can do this and break this sugar addiction!!! hang in there! :)

Sounds like your off to a good start Reenie...dont deprive yourself when your hungry,eat!, or you might be more prone to cheat , if your hungry have protein...meat,cheese,eggs,tuna.etc....you will start to feel fuller longer on mainly protein/low carb and those cravings will go away, it takes approx. 5 days give or take a few..also remember the no drinking rule 30min before and after no drinking it will make you fuller longer aswell. I know you'll do well...remember one day at a time.I'll get off my soapbox now Good-Luck we are here routing you on!
