Ok so i'm posting anyway even if not many are around. SO here is the scary thing, and im not going all political, but i'm telling everyone this is a warning... My work here (I work for ACE which is a MAJOR Property and casualty insurance company - one of the top rated next to aig) so we get a letter today saying 1. we have to prove our dependents are ours. THen we have to take a self health care assesment or our premiums are going to go up 25%. we had a note stating that due to the rising health care costs and people getting sick etc... it is of some major concern... etc... its just so scary... anywho... they did manage to take all my info my weight and my history and whipped me up this neato meal menu that will make me loose weight. its a good menu too :)  its just nice that they whipped it up and i can substitue breafasts and lunches and dinners and snacks. anywhoo... i said what the hey and decided to give it a go. SO this is day one :)

Breakfast.
1/2 cup oatmeal (regular not the instant)
tbsp of granola
tbsp of cranberries
Cinnamon and splenda.
It was yummy and very healthy.

i have my decaf and some milk in there so thats a little extra but i'm not worried about that.
i'll let you know how it goes. :)

well, it sounds yummy...however...there is no protein in it.  I'd be full for maybe an hour or so....I have to get some of that unflavored protein powder.....

yeah thats the only thing about these "Healthy diets" they aren't exactly made for us. I just bought a slew of protein powder not too long ago and my husband has been drinking it more than me lately and i'm about all out. He's been working out and lifting weights. Exactly what I should be doing! i really gotta get on the ball with exercise. I didn't do so well at lunch. i had half of a roast beef sandwich. wasn't on the diet menu. I went out to eat and they didn't have a very appetising salad bar :(  i'll have to be careful at dinner :)

My suggestion is to find a 'healthy diet' for WLS patients...what works for others may not work for us.  Remember....protein FIRST!!!
Proteinly yours,
Joanie
