Lightheadedness certainly can be attributed to hypoglycemia as well as a bazillion other things, Kim - not sure about the tingling in lower lip, though. If it persists, call your doc! Maureen

DEFINITELY go to the doc and tell him right away. I'm not sure about what it could be. May be a side effect from medicine or like Maureen said a billion other things. But I'm a nervous nelly (thats putting it mildly) about any tingling and numbness because i have stroke symptom migranes and have a higher risk for stroke and get the full stroke symptoms... so be sure to get it checked out just to check that off the list. i doubt thats what it is.. but tingling and numbness scares me. sounds more like a side effect to some medication to me. i've gotten that before with meds.

Hi Kim,

I agree with the ladies. It could be many things. I've experienced the light-headedness when my sugar goes out of whack from something I did or didn't eat; and also from lack of water. The tingling in the lip is worrisome though. It might be wise to talk to a doctor about that one.

are you prone to cold sores?  perhaps you were exposed to something that causes one?  I understand a precursor to them can be tingling in the area where the sore is about to erupt.  The lightheadedness can be low sugar.  does your lip just tingle or does it actually quiver?  I get that in my eyelids sometimes...and when I look in the mirror the lid is actually quivering.  It's nerves for me, but if it is that unusual for you, you should to to the doctors.

Thoughtfully yours,
Joanie

No Ive never had a cold sore ever...its funny you would mention eyelid though I didnt think about that but sometimes mine does that quivering thing too, just thought it was an age thing cause I just had to get glasses arggg...but the lip doesnt quiver it just every so often gets like this little tingling sensation... I did notice thinking back it seems to get better if I eat something so Im thinking it might be sugar related? Not sure, but going to Dr on Monday just to be safe. Thank you and thanks everyone for your inputs. I appreciate them.
