Please forgive me but I haven't been on here in along time. This summer has been a very busy one. But last Fri I was at work where I volunteer coming out of the rest room. I have been doing this for 2 years so didn't think nothing about it. I hold onto the sink so I can turn and set in my wheelchair ( I am parapledgic) and the sink fell off the wall. Right it went down and I went with it. Thank God no broken bones but I have a sprang right foot and some pull muscles. I was in the hospital 5 days and now I am in the nursing home for thearpy. Pray for me I will be back home in a couple of weeks. I would love to here from someone cause being in a place like this can be very depressing at times. I do walk with a walker but right now I can't cause it mess the strength up in my legs. That why I can't be at home alone right now, not until I gain my strength back.     Love and Prayers Diana

Hello it good to here from someone. It kinds of boring here on the weekends, no thearpy and not much intertament. My friend came and saw me and brought a subway for my lunch, that was nice. Some of there food isn't very good, not much seasoning. I understand because of all the old people here.
Yesterday they put me in a standing machine and I did it for 10 min. It help my legs and back alot. Then I walk twice on the hanging on the bars. So how are you feeling Lady bug? I do think about alot of you on here but don't always have alot to say so just read your messages. I have learned alot from them.
Just keep praying for me cause I know God is the answer for all things.
How about this weather those poor people in Texas. I live here in Missouri and it looks like it could start pouring down any minute. They say we are suppose to have alot of rain from this. I hope no floods because we have alot of floods here where I live.  A friend Diana

I'm sorry to hear about your accident!!  I know what it's like to be around a nurshing home. My Grandmother was in one over 25 years ago and stayed there for 6 years. Then my Mother went into the same nursing home in 2000 and lived there 6 years. But, at least you know you're going to get to go home in a couple of weeks!! I spent a lot of days there with my Mother and Grandmother and I made a lot of wonderful friends there. When Mama went in the place I thought I would die!!  But my sister and I had to work and she got to where she couldn't stay alone. I questioned God , why did she have to go in there because all my life she had loved the Lord and put him first in her life and she had walked to carry me to church as a child, then Daddy finally bought her a car, when he could afford it. He didn't go to church with us and she had prayed for him to be saved for over 35 years. He accepted the Lord when he was 60 years old and died at 64. But back to Mama going to the nursing home. She had always done things for everybody and she just liked to look after people. Well, she was in the bed for years and could not see out the window or the door, but she was everybody's inspiration!!  When anybody was having a bad day they came to Mama's room for some loving , kind works. She even led people to the Lord. She made a difference in a lot of people's life while she was there.  So, "Smile something good is going to happen today!!" God put you there for a reason, look around and see what it is!! He will bless you!! I will pray for you and hope to hear that you are on your way home soon!! Love ya, Judy

Thank you for them encouraging words Judy. I really feel God put me here for a reason. I have a sister in the nursing home with me. She been here for 3 years, she has a brain tumor and don't remember nothing and know one sometimes. My room is right next to her and I try to help her all I can. I am a very happy person with a smile on my face most of the time. An I tell people I have it there because God put it there. I have a peace and joy in my heart and I give him all the praise. I am sorry it took me to become a parapledgic to become a kind of person God wants me to be. I had a dad and a motherinlaw in nursing homes and they both died there. My motherinlaw could never talk while she was there. But my dad was the lucky one he got to live in the assisted living. But July 18 I lost my aunt in a nursing home and she hated every minute of it. She wasn't a people person like me. She got to where she couldn't walk or feed herself so she just gave up. I told my family today I can always look around and find someone worse off than you are. God Bless You   Diana

Diana,

Your attitude is truly inspiring.   Life is not about what happens to us.   It is about what we do in response.   We all get down from time to time, with good reason.    But I can tell that you are a person to bloom wherever you are planted.    God bless you!

I just wanted to let everyone know I don't have to have the lift use on me now. Yesterday I started walking with the walker to the bathroom and in my room. My legs aren't as strong as they was but they will get there. Phil 4-13 is my verse. God Bless Ya'll
