I have not had a fill in several yrs and since I am only down 32# from my weight on the date of surgery (4 yrs ago) i am thinking i need one. Problem: i had my surgery in arlington tx and i live in waco -- the dr in waco wants $400 office visit plus $200 for fill (they do NOT file on insurance for transfer patients) i called the office of the dr who did the sugery and that is also $200 (again, with them not filing on insurance.) i also have issues w/this dr because he refuses to give the deadning injection before the fill. I have had several fills by him and they all HURT and he refuses to deaden the area first (with a MUCH smaller needle and very little pain) does anyone else have these kinds of problems?

Yikes!!! I had RNY so I can't really reply. But honestly... it sounds like you need to find a doc that will numb that area without question and one that doesn't cause you pain. Only 32 pounds down... talk to your PCP and see what they recommend, maybe they know of a better doc. try others anyway.. it may be worth the trip. Sorry you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Try the band boards, someone may be able to help you. hang in there!
