thanks and more...
Thank you, everyone, for your well wishes. Lindsey is doing fine, went to work today. She will get her rental car tonite and I'm still not sure how I am going to handle this cop...he was really not nice.
Anyway, today I had a big protein drink for breakfast and coffee. For lunch, I had once slice of turkey cold cuts, one slice of cheese and some cream of chicken soup. AND I'M FULL!!! I love that. This is going to be a protein week for me....very little or no carbs. I want to see how I do with that. If all goes well, maybe I'll do the pouch test next week. Hopefully I can lose something this week!
Stressfully yours,
Joanie
Yeah that cop sounded like such a jerk. I'm with you...i messed up this weekend and know that the sugar is going to make me crave bad eventually... so instead of setting myself up to fail with just doing liquid when that happens, im going to do the protein only thing. No sugar or carbs. Aside from like protein bar carbs and things like that. No breads or pasta or sugary snacks. I've had decaf this morning NO CREAM! yay! just milk and splenda. And I had sausage and I did have one carb thing...the sugar free yogurt. But thats not the carbs i'm really talking about anyways. and i am having stir fry now which is jsut salmon, broccolli and mushrooms with pesto and a little parmesean cheese! YUUUMM!! I can pick on that for an hour or so.

I am doing better on the no sugar very low carb thing than on the complete 5 day pouch thing. I started yesterday & did all liquids till dinner had a taco with the inside stuff & no tortilla. Today has been all protein so far. I am eating less
& getting full quicker so hopefully this will work for me &
get the weight going down & staying down. The sugar & carbs
were for sure out of control. I have had a headache since yesterday & i think its sugar withdrawals. Better this afternoon.

Joanie,
So glad that Lindsey is doing fine. Scarey stuff. All cops have bosses and all bosses have bosses. Almost all police departments also have a citizens advisory group that handles complaints. I'd report the officer and let the department investigate. Although The Man was a cop for 33 years and a union rep for most of those years, he also came across a lot of officers who didn't need to be cops and helped them find their way off of the police force. The way he sees it, cops who are not professional make it very difficult for the rest of the officers to do their jobs because the public loses trust and respect.
Hugs,
Connie
