I hated that I broke my promise to you. This is a real powerful addiction, unlike anything I've ever had in my entire life, even at 400-plus pounds. I just don't understand it. And I don't know what to do about it. Thanks for this, Elizabeth. It means so much - and I love you back just as much. Maureen

Oh, and an update on Laela. She seems fine, she's eating and drinking water, no temperature - she just has a snotty nose so the owner of the new barn that I moved her to has freaked out because she doesn't want the other horses infected. So the vet has put her on an antibiotic and ordered that Laela be isolated; she is in a small round pen with nothing but dirt, no grass to munch on, no other horses to keep her company - for 2 weeks, she has to be penned up in there and it's breaking my heart. When I got there yesterday and called out to her, she just whinnied back to me so frantically and started running around in circles in that little pen, I thought I was going to die of a broken heart. I took her out of there immediately and grazed her for two hours, up on a hill with lots of grass, just the two of us...it was very peaceful and lovely. Oh, this will be a very long two weeks. Otherwise, I think she's just fine, thank you...Love, M.

Maureen!!! ((hugs)) don't you ever think that you let me down. No way. We all have our vices. You are still an inspiration to me no matter how many m&ms you eat! I'm so glad Laela is doing well. You'll keep her company and I'm sure she has an idea since you are sticking around that its only temporary. They are smarter than we ever could know. Poor baby. You hang in there and enjoy the peaceful times you two have together. I had such a bad weekend so I screwed up and its just made me more depressed. So I totally know how you feel. It really does suck. I just went nuts. 'sigh' i know it was alot about stress since i was locked up inside for 3 days straight and my poor little baby was so sick with high temperatures that I could barely control with her teething... its just been an awful weekened. I havent gained but then again i might not see it till next week. I hope not though!!! Elizabeth M
