Low Blood Sugar???
HI all...does anyone know the symptoms of LBS? Sometimes, not often I get this tingly sensations in my lips and alittle light headed, sorta weird feeling, but after I eat something I seem to be fine in alittle bit. Could this be low blood sugar? just curious...thanks! ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like low blood sugar episodes; now do some real sluething, Kimberly - track the episodes. Do a two-day sampling of writing down everything you eat and the time you eat it - everything. No matter what, and at precisely what time. At the end of each day, you will be able to connect the dots - low blood sugar episodes are caused by eating a high concentration of sugar (candy) or refined carbohydrates (bad carbs - cookies, donuts, white breads, muffins, cakes, pasta, crackers, etc.), which causes a very fast spike in blood sugar - which then causes a very, very fast response from your body - insulin pumped into your system from the pancreas at an abnomally fast rate. This will then cause a crash in your blood sugar - it goes down way too fast - and that is what is causing the shakes, sweats, confusion, and in really bad situations, black outs. Nothing to mess around with. Tracking with gut honesty what you're eating and when will allow you to understand what the food you are eating is doing to your body. Best of luck with this, keep us posted. Maureen
