Just a question from a 4 yr post op
Hi,
It's been a really long time since I ve been here.. I am 4 years post op and have done really well. Almost no complications... but as of yesterday I am extremely nautious everytime I drink or eat something. No I am not pregnant...LOL... I had a hysterectomy shortly after WLS... I was wondering if anyone knows the symptoms of a leaking pouch?
Thanks for your time.
Christie
Hi Christie, I think I remember you - welcome back, and so sorry you're not feeling well...I don't believe you have a leak, if you did you would be in extreme pain and vomiting, not just feeling sick to your stomache. The pain would be almost unbearable. Your nausea could be caused by any number of things - if you have not had a check in with your surgeon or regular doctor (PCP), this would be a good time to do that. If you have any other symptoms, such as fever, chills, abdominal pain, constipation, bleeding stools, shoulder pain, shortness of breath, etc., get to ER right away. Otherwise, make an appointment with your doctor. How are you doing with your weight loss? You sound as if you've met with good success and are maintaining without any difficulty. We try to share as much as possible on this incredible board - the good and the bad of living our lives post-WLSurgically. Many of us are struggling, but all of us are striving to hold each other up and pull each other through the rough times. Glad you stopped in and would love for you to stick around! Please tell us how you are doing in terms of what I call "Living Normal" - take care, and let us know how everything works out for you with this issue! Maureen
