news about me...kind of
ok well, here is the scoop
I have had several MRI's, a cat scan, an EEG, blood work like crazy and basically, they know I had a seizure but why they are NOT sure... there is nothing abnormal in any of the test.
EXCEPT, for one thing, my prolactin level is really high... this is what causes nursing mother to produce milk, which means something is wonky in my pituitary gland.
I asked about reactive hypoglycemia and he said ask the neuro-endocrinologist I want you to see for the pituitary gland.
so now I am trying to get seen there...
of course the doctor my doctor wants me to see, is NOT in my network @@
so I have to find another guy.
if I already told you this so sorry, I have like CRAP-TASTIC short term memory these days...gotta love brain medication.
did you know that if you are cooking peppered bacon and leave the kitchen and forget you are cooking bacon and go back into the kitchen you will basically create pepper gas??? neither did I till last week!!
NEW RULE: must stay in kitchen while cooking anything!

I haven't noticed those ads until just now as you pointed them out; could be they just started popping up because you posted about the pituary gland and voila, pop-ups about the pituary - that's how the internet market works...so don't give this another thought! And don't pay any more attention to it. Just follow up and get these tests done until you get to the bottom of what's going on. How are the ups and downs going in terms of your blood sugar swings? Are those swings better for you? Are you noticing a correlation between how you're eating and better management (or not) in terms of those high/low swings? This is one area that you really can control, Nic - be your own personal investigator and experiment with the foods that you eat and when you find yourself eating; try eating every 3-4 hours, small portions of a meal consisting of 1 protein, 1 complex carb, and 1 fruit or veggie. I'm going to bet that you find your sugars regulate and you feel better in your head! Are you testing with a glucose monitor? If not, you certainly should be, diabetic or not. Get your doctor to prescribe one for you right away! I am convinced that you had a super fast episode of insulin being pumped into your system by your pancreas because of something you ate a donut, a muffin?? something that your body recognized as a highly concentrated form of refined (bad, bad) sugar - in panic response, your pancreas pumped insulin into your system way, way too fast and at the "wrong" time, and then that level plummeted really fast - crashed - think of your glucose level like an extreme roller coaster in your system, and that's what happened - I am convinced this is what caused your seizure...the pancreas is the culprit and you must point your doctors continually back to the pancreas!!! Test it, test it, test it...Love you, Maureen
I think I am going to start journaling what I eat and stuff so I can take it to the doctor and I going to thru in some crap so that we can have somthing to compare too ya know???
and funnily enough I just got an email to say Icould have a glucose monitor for free...

* diabetic --- uhm nope
