plans for the 4th?
I'm taking a 1/2 day at work on Thursday (I'm off on friday) to go to a wedding with my guy. His daughters husbands sister is getting married. They are all a close family and include and treat my guy as one of the relatives. I love it when we all get together.
It is in a town about an hour away so we have gotten a room! It will be like a mini vacation! WE thought since the wedding was at 5pm on Thursday with lots of dancing that will go late plus a couple of drinks AND its on a holiday weekend it just screamed stay over!
My guy and I love to dance. No way are we ready for dancing with the stars but we love to get out there on the dance floor. We are the ones who start the dancing and the ones who end it.
I bought a very pretty dress on a clearance rack at the mall. It is beautiful! black knee length with a plunging neckline that also plunges in the back! Thank goodness it doesn't plunge so much that I have to wear a strapless cause I hate those. I'm also going to get to wear the beautiful jewelry I had gotten for my daughters wedding last november. I had gotten some nice shoes but tonight when I put them on they hurt! I had bought them one saturday when it was cooler. I guess they are winter shoes casue summer shoes need to be slightly larger to accomodate swollen hazy hot and humid tootsies.
The food at the wedding is a buffet I love those. Some people dont' do well with buffets but I am careful. I like them becasue I can get what I want and try alittle bit of everything. It doesn't pay for me to really order a full meal salad, soup, rolls, main course and then dessert. I'm fine wiht just the cheese and crackers!
I will have a small piece of wedding cake. I LOVE wedding cake.
The rest of the holiday weekend will be spent with my guy, my kids, and my little pets.

Pam, you have never sounded so happy as you do right now in this moment in time. And that makes me so happy for you. He is one lucky fellow. Now then, I fully expect to see a photo of you in that dress on your pofile page by MONDAY! And we'd sure like to see a photo of you with your guy as well! Have a super time, sweetie! Maureen
I love reading about you and your guy. It reminds me of me and my guy! We love to dance too, and when we first met we thought it would be fun to take ballroom dance classes together. Now, we're hardly 'Dancing with the Stars' material, but we had such fun!
Well, as I said on a previous post, we are having a cookout tomorrow. Twenty people. We just got back from the market to get all the stuff, but people are bringing things as well. It's exhausting, but I love having company. Our little beach town is buzzing with activity this weekend...fireworks, street fairs and the like. I'm hoping to get some quality beach time in some time or another.
Next weekend should be fun. My best friend from college is coming with his wife. I haven't seen him in years. He was always like a brother to me. We're all going to do lunch, the beach, walk through the town and have dinner. It should be great.

and no one will ask you anything or even think it is abnormal... LOL
sometimes that irritates me...I am not nice anymore when people quextion what is one my plate... "Did I ask YOU to eat it? NO?? Then mind your own buisness!" LOL
