I'm Back!
I had a great trip to Rio de Janeiro. It is a beautiful place and the people are WONDERFUL. I made friends for life and it was SO hard to leave. I taught English Bible studies, and learned a lot of Portuguese in the process. I came back very tired, but glad to be home. I got in Monday, and immediately started a sinus infection. I guess the overnight flight just dried out my sinuses. But I'm resting up this week.
While I was gone, the 2 year old and 3 year old foster kids my daughter has had were moved to their new adoptive family. What a win for these little ones, to have a permanent family of their own, after bouncing around in foster care all their lives! Then within a week my daughter had 8 month old twins! They are really sweet and may be long term. So, I get to go meet these new grandbabies tomorrow!
I hope everyone here is doing well. Thanks for missing me!
Joy
Oh Joy, Joy, Joy -- you're HOME!!! I have missed you SOOOOOO MUCH!!! Ok, I'll give you a little bit of time to rest and catch your breath...just a little...but then you've got to reach into what's sure to be a vast treasure chest full of stories that are going to keep this Board entertained for the next 5 years; oh, those folks must have been very sad to see you leave. The lights in Rio de Janeiro will never shine so brightly again - but now I know what that rainbow was all about that stretched all the way from California to Connecticut this past Monday!! Good luck with the twins, they're lucky to have you. Love, Maureen
