A Couple of Things
Good morning. I decided to start my day with a walk down to the Thames River - got to work at 7am, just couldn't handle the insanity at home another moment so headed out the door very early. Rather than sit on my butt, I took it outside for a walk down to the water. What a blessing to stop long enough to pay attention to God's world - the brilliant sunshine dancing on the water like a bazillion nymphs; the sounds of the lazy waves rolling into shore. And at precisely 8am, the National Anthem played over loud speaker from the Coast Guard Academy so that the entire New London community can hear it. I'm usually in my office and don't give it a second thought. Standing at the edge of the water under a gorgeous early summer sky - God's sky - I put my decididly liberal-democrat hand over my heart and let the canned music play out before I headed back uphill to my office. A pack of jogging Coast Guard cadets passed me on my climb and bid me a very hearty "good morning" to which I responded likewise - then cast a grateful eye over my shoulder to watch them move on - have you ever stopped to really ponder the beauty of a Coat Guard Academy cadet's ass? Just had to share. Good day, all. Love, Maureen
HAHAHAHA! You know the first thing I thought to myself was ooooo coast guard guys did you peek? How could you not right??? Hey I know my husband is having a field day with eye candy right now with all those young girls out in their little teenie tiny super tiny shorts and bikini tops and such in the heat wave... so when I get a chance I look at the hot guys! Not too many compared to the women unfortunately. Wow! Your walk sounded beautiful! the water lapping at the shore...ahhhh....I want to move where you are! To be able to walk out and be near that type of beauty? Man oh man thats awesome... me... if I walk out the door and down my neighborhood...first I'm nervous..and its...well...'sigh' nothing beautiful thats for sure. Just a little neighborhood near the city. I LOVE the water. The closer I can get to it the better
