I am in Training!!!!!!!
I finally bit the bullet and went to check out working for an Insurance Company. And I have decided to accept the challenge of writing insurance polices. At least I will be contacting people in my general location who have responded and are interested in the insurance.
I will be training all next week and will be driving about 75 miles to Columbus Georgia. Once I am trained, I will be required to go into the office on Mondays for Agent meetings. So that will not be so bad. I will also need to buy a laptop and I have wanted one of those anyways.....Of course, in the meantime, I need to take the Georgia state test to get licensed and then take the Alabama certification as well since I am on the border of both states...
Wish me well...........and do you need any insurance?

well that could be interesting cuz i can't afford to really come see you !but i DID contact you!
one issue i ran into is that i am a post wls patient--when we lost our medical mutual on jan 31st (hubby was let go from work then) i was offered the cobra but could not afford it--and now- i asked anthem about a policy-they say i have to be 5 yrs out from wls-that stinks....
anyhow--best of luck to you in the new endeavor--i should look at something in sales but i just don't have the get up and go anymore...and i DO need ins!!! keep me in mind!
I had no choice. He is retired and only gets SSI . I was collecting a full paycheck from my old company for 9 months. It was a great vacation. I wish I could have done it longer. And I have been looking for a job ever since I relocated and was having problems even getting a response. My new boss told me he read my resume' and felt I was over qualified. I believe that has been my problem all along. Since I want to make a salary comparable to what I was making, I needed to take this type of job. This area on the GA/AL line does not have a very high pay scale.
