Paulie the wonder bird & Charlie my sweet baby
I try not to pick favorites in my little animal house but there are two of them that are (if I"m honest) closest to my heart.
Charlie is my 5 pound pomerian who I just adore. She is almost 8 years old and still has alot of pep in her. She doesn't walk or run she bounces.
Everyone knows Paulie the wonder bird.
These two stay close to where ever I am when I am home. They are the ones who miss me the most when I'm gone over night and show their displeasure at my not being here by Paulie not talking to me and Charlie not coming close for her kisses.
In the morning I carry Paulie on my arm up the stairs to get ready for work while Charlie bounces ahead of us. Paulie flaps his wings as fast as he can and I'm trying hard to go as quickly as I can up them and still breathe! I've made it a game so we usually race up those stairs.
This past wee****pt forgetting things and would have to go back down the stairs then race up them again cause those two will not let me do a normal up the stairs they want their fun!
AT the forth time going up and down those stupid stairs I wasn't in the mood to run up them again! So I took my time and Charlie beat Paulie and I to the top. Paulie was very discusted. He stops flapping his wings stands up straight and tall and says "Dam Dog"!
Last week one of my other birds Tweety was looking at her self in her little mirror and chirping up a storm. She kept reapeating as loud as she could "Pretty Pretty Pretty Bird. Sweety Tweety Tweety is a pretty bird What a sweety Tweety. It was a riot she doens't usually talk that much. I was standign at her cage laughing and egging (bardon the pun...) her on to say more and more. Paulie wasn't too happy with someone else getting the lime light. Very quietly I could hear him mumbling "Shut the F*** up!"
Where does he come out with this? I dont swear!?! Especailly not in front of him because I know he only has to hear something one time to remember it and out of no where he will repeat it.
He is such a sweet bird. I enjoy him so very much. But then again I'm a sucker for my little animal family. With all my children grown and on their own starting their families these furry feathered precious creatures are my little loves.
The new boyfriend is adjusting to them he has too. I care for him very much but will not give up my little friends for anyone.
Love me love my pets!
