Paulie the wonder bird.
I have a very large black kitty who is bigger than my dog. She is perportioned well but is totally solid. To pick her up you need muscles. When she walks into the room you can hear her foot steps. When she come down the stairs you hear the boards bending. You would expect to hear a very strong deep MEOW but when she opens her mouth its a squeeky kitten meowwww.
If the food dish is empty you can not shut her up.
Paulie the wonder bird is intriqued by this cat.
When she walks into the living room where his cage is he will climb down from the top to the bottom and want to touch noses with her. She like my other cat isnt' quite sure what Paulie is. He looks like a bird he smells like a bird. But he meows, barks, and talks. She's not sure what he is but she isn't taking any chances so doesn't get close.
Paulie has learned how to say (and sounds just like me when he says it) here kitty kitty who wants breakfast?
Samantha (the kitty tank) who loves to eat (just like her mommy) hears this and has gotten to the point where she is feeling alittle bit more comfortable going closer to his cage.
I'm sure she's thinking "Hey maybe he does have a big bag of kitty food with him".
Yesterday Paulie got to touch noses but when Sammy went to gently touch him (she is declawed it was a cruiuous touch) he nipped her paw!
The next few minutes were a whirl wind of activity with mommy saying NO! Sammy screaming! And Paulie flapping his wings!
Sammy ran to the basement door and slid through the crack! Paulie was flapping up a storm and took off in hot persute!
Unfortunately Paulie didn't allow for the door crack not being wide enough for him to slide through in full flap and he slammed into it and slid to the floor where he sat meowing.
Sammy wouldn't come upstairs for the rest of the day and night.
Great story! I can see this happening. I have 2 cats and they love my long hallway as we live in a ranch style home. They chase either other up and down the hallway over the courch and back again. It is fun to watch them and hear them as they "clomp up and down the hallway.
That would make a great photo. Have you a camera near by?
