MIKE AND PAM!!
Hey you two, I received this in an email from Kim Daniels:
Need a
Fresh Start??
Weight loss and maintenance is extremely difficult, even with the help of bariatric surgery. Many patients find that they return to previous eating habits and behaviors, only to see the scale heading in the wrong direction. This can be incredibly frustrating, but we can help!! The Center for Behavioral Health at Middlesex Hospital is starting the "Fresh Start" program. This is a series of groups for those bariatric patients who have completed surgery and have regained some or all of their lost weight. Information will be given on a variety of topics, including managing emotional eating, making behavioral changes, and dealing with body image issues, and plenty of time will be given for group discussion. The group will meet on the following dates and will be led by Kim Daniels, Psy.D.:
? April 16th and 30th
? May 14th and 28th
? June 25th
? July 23rd
The group will meet from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bengston meeting room located across the street from the hospital's main entrance. You must attend each group, as the topics build upon one another. The cost of the group is $20 per session, with the requirement that you pay up front.
**Contact Kim at 358-8760 or [email protected] to sign up **
***Your attendance will be held strictly confidential***

I'm thinking I'm going to do this, although I won't be able to make the 4/16 meeting - what do you say we do this together??? Let me know!
reenie- just my opinion but if you had your surgery there you shouldn't have to pay $20 a shot! that's $120 ...this is follow up for cripes's sake!!!!!!!!!!! .wow--sorry!!!!!!!!!!!! jmho.....
she had better have some awesome info and handouts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tho cheaper than seeing her in office....ah well...ignore this post.......
Agreed, Margo - but this is more like a therapy group, than a WLS support group forum. As therapy goes, I guess it's a bargain...don't know if I'll be doing this, is anyone else getting good, solid support by attending regular meetings, or going to therapy, this far out of surgery? This might be a really good thread to get going, something we haven't really talked about on the board - Reenie P.S. Margo, I'm stuck on Roth's "writing inquiry" exercise - did you get through that???
after i posted i thought more about it and do understand!
no-i didn't becuz i was driving! and i didn't use any home time to do it--remember please that i don't get time alone at home to think and write letters or do anythng that seems pleasurable!!!! i don't even get to sit and pay bills without having to explain myself somedays!
i probly should play that one again and see what it's about--
can ya skip fwd to the next session???
sorry! not what you wanted to hear!!!!
